WELCOME TO THE TIPS & TRICKS SECTION OF THE WEIGHT WATCHERS SEGMENT. I hope these ideas will help to make it easier for you to follow your program.  They have certainly helped to keep me "legal"!! If anyone has any good tips for this section, please send them to me and I will put them in!
One way that I have found to increase volume without changing the point value of a particular food is to "dilute" the product or food with either water or point-free products.
SALAD DRESSINGS
Light, creamy salad dressings have 2 points for 2 tablespoons.
But if you dilute the dressing by 1/3 with water (i.e. mix 1 cup of dressing with 1/2 cup water), then you can have 3 tbs. of dressing for 2 points.
If you do the same thing with light Italian (not creamy) dressing you  can have 3 tbs. for 1 point.
PASTA SAUCE
If you add some canned tomato sauce (1/4 cup = 0 points) to prepared pasta sauce you can have more sauce on your pasta for the same points.
Example:
Five Brothers Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce
Serving size is 1/2 cup for 1 point (70 calories, 3g fiber, 1.5g fat)
If you mix this with 1/4 cup of tomato sauce, then you can have 3/4 cup for 1 point.  This doesn't change the taste much, and I find the 3/4 cup serving more satisfying.  I also like to add a dash of red pepper flakes to spice it up a little!
GRATED CHEESE
2 tbs. of grated parmesan cheese has 1 point (40 calories,  0g fiber, 3g fat)
If you mix the grated parmesan cheese half and half with FAT FREE GRATED CHEESE TOPPING (1 tbs. = 0 points:  10 calories, 0g fiber, 0g fat), then you can have 3 or 4 tbs. of your grated cheese mix for 1 point.
