| SPIRAL PASTA WITH SPINACH AND BEANS- 8 points 8 oz. spiral pasta (cavatappi) 8 oz. coarsely chopped fresh spinach 2 tbs. olive oil 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. black pepper 1 can (19oz) white kidney beans, rinsed and drained 3 cloves garlic, finely minced or crushed 3/4 cup grated Asiago cheese fresh ground black pepper (optional) Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and place pasta in a large bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and toss well. Sprinkle with fresh ground black pepper if desired. Makes 8 servings, 8 points each. |

| PARMESAN PASTA WITH GARLIC- 7 points 8 ounces linguine or fettucini 1 tbs. olive oil 4 cloves minced garlic 3 oz. parmesan cheese, freshly grated 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper Cook pasta according to package directions, ommiting salt and fat. Drain. Heat oil in a saucepan over low heat. Add the garlic and cook for about 5 minutes, or until lightly browned, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add the cooked pasta, cheese, salt and pepper to the pan and toss well to coat. Makes 4 one cup servings, 7 points each. |
