The match started off badly for our heros, with Inter Viagra gaining a 1-0 lead in the first half. However, this only caused It Doesn't
Matter to wake up and start playing.
Sam Rafferty brought the score level with a powerful penalty and the teams went in (well...off the pitch) at half-time drawing.
The second half picked up where the first left off with IDM causing all the problems. It was only a matter of time before IDM went
ahead, and that they did with a wonderfully struck shot from Chris Wheatley. Hammond recieved the ball on the right wing, with only
Neal Rowe and Wheatley to aim for he floated a perfect ball over the defender straight to Weeto, who let fly with a screaming shot
into the top corner.
Inter Viagra somehow pulled it back to 2-2 when a defensive mix-up left far too much space on IDM's left and an easy goal was
scored. Literally straight from kick off IDM regained the lead, when Neal took the ball from a drop-ball kick off and proceeded to
dribble past the entire opposition side before cooly placing the ball past the helpless(useless) keeper.
After a brief scare when it looked like the lead could be lost again, It Doesn't Matter stormed back into the match with a second
goal for Sam from a volley and a goal from Andy Weller after a long run from defence.
Overall a comfortable victory that could have been even more comfortable had the referee not disallowed a perfectly good goal (from Sam) and
ignored claims for a second penalty which looked far more clear cut than the first. There's talk of the finals already in the IDM dressing room, some
might say premature talk.

Match Report: L'Adys Eleven Break A Nail
It Doesn't Matter 3-0 L'Adys Eleven
Man of The Match :
 Neal Rowe

It Doesn't Matter refused to say "L'Adys first" last night as they romped home to a comfortable 3-0 win against the top of the table team.
Any nerves about the importance of the game were blown away midway through the first half when, yet again, Neal Rowe was brought
down in the box. In a carbon copy of his first goal last game, Sam Rafferty kept his nerve and smashed the spot kick into the back of
the net.
Besides the goal, the first half was quite close with L'Adys Eleven causing problems as well. However, on the rare occasion the IDM
defence let their guard down the opposition strikers found Dean "Sad Sack" Kavanagh in fine form. The half time team talk was one of
warning, L'Adys Eleven had won their first two matches 5-0 and 4-0 respectivley.
Despite the cautious approach taken early on, Rowe still caused the opposition defenders problems whenever he had the ball at his feet.
What IDM and their supporters needed was another goal, and their prayers were answered when Hammond, on for Cowle, played the ball
into Neal who kept control despite numerous challenges and as the keeper came out, Neal turned and stroked the ball in.
The two goal cushion brought about a change of tactics, with Neal moving back into midfield and Cowle and Wheatley pushing forward
whenever possible. L'Adys Eleven were getting back into the game more and more, with nothing to lose. Kavanagh nearly gave them
a life line when, after a communications mix-up, he fluffed a goal kick. The ball moved about a foot away, with Dean unable to touch the
ball until another player had, a chase was on between Andy Weller and the L'Adys forward. Weller just got to it first and earned IDM a free
kick and some breathing space after handbags at six paces with the opposing striker.
With only a minute to go, a throw from Rafferty set up a 50-50 between Cowle and the L'Adys goalkeeper. Cowle chased the ball and managed
to get a toe in first to send the ball into the back of the net and IDM to joint top in the league, second only on goals scored. With a game in hand
the teams fate is firmly in their own hands, let's hope they're safe hands.

Match Report: IDM Fight On To Make Their Way To The Nationals
It Doesn't Matter 2-1 Jumpers For Goal Posts
Man of The Match :

What a conclusion to a great first round tournament from IDM. A momentus occasion in their football history as they fought home to a 2-1 win
against the problem team, Jumpers for Goal Posts.
There was a significant amount of tension due to the importantance of the game, a draw was enough for the Peoples Champions but Jumpers had to win
to win the group. The Stakes being high created a very competitive game with every player from IDM giving 110%, it was clear from the kick off that IDM
were in no mood for settling for the point. It was end to end stuff in the first half with several attacks from both teams, IDM coming closest with some great
runs from Neal Rowe resulting in plenty of free kicks. The deadlock was broken in the 9th minute when a corner went through everybody, fell to
Chris Wheatley who hit it with the outside of his foot towards the danger area only for Neal Rowe to chest it in the net.
The Half time team talk reflected on a fine job with the emphasis on hard work for the second half.
With nothing to lose, Jumpers came out all guns
blazing at the start of the second half and within the first minute they had equalised. A throwing was quickly taken to a surging forward Jumpers striker,
who proceeded to get to the by line, take a step back and slot it in at the far post. Jumpers had got IDM rattled, and pressure from them led to a free kick
hitting the post and Sam Rafferty almost chesting it into his own net. It Doesnt Matter had their hearts in their mouths. It was time to raise their game as nightmares
of previous years began to enter their minds. The game then got very competitive and very open as the minutes were ticking away. It was IDM that had
that extra edge to their game in the closing minutes. The defense tightened up, Rowe made a run and hit a sweet low shot only to see it brush past
the near post. Their corners were heavily improving also with Rafferty hitting the bar with a header.
A one goal cushion is what IDM desperately needed and finally it came, when Ben Parkinson hit the ball in the danger area, hit Sam Rafferty, came
off the post for Rowe to step up for the second time in the game and scramble it home.
With only seconds to go, IDM still sensibly took no risks and put themselves in a 3-3 formation with Rowe acting as a Sweeper. The Final Whistle blew
and It Doesnt Matter had won the game, won the group and were off to the National Finals in Nottingham. -' Towey.....Thanks for coming'.
