HISTORICAL VICTORY OF THE QVALE MANGUSTA IN THE 2000 SCCA TRANS-AM
STORICA VITTORIA DELLA QVALE MANGUSTA NELLA SCCA TRANS-AM 2000
The Qvale Mangusta obtains his first international result within his first year of life, winning the drivers title of the SCCA TRANS-AM SERIES with Brian Simo. All has been decided in San Diego on the 7th of November, in the last race of the season, when Paul Gentilozzi (Jaguar XKR), who has battled with Simo since the start of the championship, has had a broken oil pump, thus enabling Simo to overtake him in the championship standing, thanks to the Simo's final third place behind Johnny Miller (Chevrolet Corvette) and Boris Said (Ford Mustang Cobra). The Huffaker Qvale team also won the Team's title. In this wonderful season, Simo has collected three wins (Sebring, Charlotte and Mosport), one second place and two third places, losing in more than one times cause mechanical failures when was strongly leading.

La Qvale Mangusta ottiene il primo risultato internazionale nel suo primo anno di vita, vincendo il titolo piloti nella SCCA TRANS-AM SERIES con Brian Simo. Tutto si � deciso a San Diego il 7 Novembre, nell'ultima gara della stagione, quando Paul Gentilozzi (Jaguar XKR), che ha battagliato con Simo fin dall'inizio del campionato, ha subito la rottura della pompa dell'olio, consentendo a Simo, terzo dietro a Johnny Miller (Chevrolet Corvette) e Boris Said (Ford Mustang Cobra), di superarlo in classifica. Il team Huffaker qvale ha anche vinto il titolo teams. In questa magnifica stagione, Simo ha collezionato tre vittorie (Sebring, Charlotte e Mosport), un secondo posto e due terzi, perdendo in pi� di un occasione a causa di inconvenienti meccanici mentre era saldamente al comando
