MAGNY-COURS: PRIMA VITTORIA LIGTHS DEL 2000 PER UNA TAMPOLLI
The Magny-Cours race of the "Sports Racing World Cup" has seen the first Lights win for a Tampolli (apart the two fullpoints-results of Daytona and Road America). The victory is not gone to the works car, here driven by the confirmed Maddalena-"Linos". The Tampolli-Alfa Romeo which has taken first the finish line (seventh overall just after the GMS-Mader) has been the BM Autosport one of Renato Nobili and Massimo Monti, since the start of the championship one of the fastest Lights cars. Nobili e Monti started from the second grid position, behind the works Lucchini-Alfa Romeo of Ronca-Francioni which has been involved in a crash with the Panoz Spyder of Jason Watt. Second Lights car classified the Redman and Bright Pilbeam-Nissan driven by Owen and Smithson. With this second place Owen and Smithson close the quest for both the Lights Teams and the Drivers titles.

La gara di Magny-Cours della "Sports Racing World Cup" ha visto la prima vittoria tra le Lights per una Tampolli (escludendo i due risultati da punteggio pieno di Daytona e Road America). La vittoria non � andata alla vettura ufficiale, qui guidata dai confermati Maddalena-"Linos". La Tampolli-Alfa Romeo che ha tagliato per prima il traguardo (settima assoluta dietro la GMS-Mader) � stata quella della BM Autosport guidata da Renato Nobili e Massimo Monti, fin dall'inizio del campionato una delle macchine Lights pi� veloci. Nobili e Monti sono partiti dalla seconda posizione in griglia, dietro la Lucchini-Alfa Romeo ufficiale di Ronca-Francioni, coivolta in seguito in un contatto con la Panoz Spyder di Jason Watt. Seconda Lights classificata la Pilbeam-Nissan della Redman & Bright guidata da Owen e Smithson. Con questo secondo posto Owen e Smithson chiudono il discorso per i titoli Piloti e Teams della classe Lights.
