A controversial result for Brian Simo and his Qvale Mangusta (you can see here the road version) in the Forth Worth (Texas) race of SCCA - TRANS-AM SERIES. Simo have led the race from the pole, battling with the actual drivers championship leader Paul Gentilozzi (Jaguar XKR) until the 17th lap, when have abandoned the race with mechanical problems. Then the Gentilozzi's Jaguar was already out of race since the 11th lap. Both Simo and Gentilozzi have been classified, respectively in 21st and 23rd place with 9 championship points for Simo and 5 points for Gentilozzi. Now the Paul Gentilozzi's leadership over Brian Simo is reduced to only 10 points. The race have been won by Leighton Reese (Pontiac Grand Prix) who have beaten Johnny Miller (second with a Chevrolet Corvette) and Jeff Altenburg (third with a Jaguar XKR). Brian Simo have signed also the fastest lap, which with the pole position confirms that the new Qvale Mangusta performance can give to Simo the chance to return in the first series standing position.

Un risultato controverso per Brian Simo e la sua Qvale Mangusta (potete vedere qui la versione stradale) nella gara di Forth Worth (Texas) della SCCA - TRANS-AM SERIES. Simo ha condotto la gara dalla pole, lottando con l'attuale leader della classifica piloti Paul Gentilozzi (Jaguar XKR) fino al 17� giro, quando ha abbandonato la corsa per problemi meccanici. In quel momento la Jaguar di Gentilozzi era gi� fuori gara dal 11� giro. Sia Simo che Gentilozzi sono stati classificati, rispettivamente al 21� e al 23� posto con 9 punti per Simo e 5 per Gentilozzi. Adesso il vantaggio di Paul Gentilozzi su Brian Simo si � ridotto a soli 10 punti. La gara � stata vinta da Leighton Reese (Pontiac Grand Prix) che ha battuto Johnny Miller (secondo con una Chevrolet Corvette) e Jeff Altenburg (terzo con una Jaguar XKR). Brian Simo ha segnato anche il giro pi� veloce, che insieme alla pole position conferma che le prestazioni della nuova Qvale Mangusta possono dare a Simo la possibilit� di ritornare al primo posto della classifica piloti.
