IS STARTED THE PRODUCTION OF THE NEW QVALE MANGUSTA
E' INIZIATA LA PRODUZIONE DELLA NUOVA QVALE MANGUSTA
A few decades after the argentinian Alejandro De Tomaso, another stranger, Bruce Qvale, an American with Norwegian roots, opens in Modena a new sport car factory. The first car of this new firm is ispired by one of luckiest De Tomasos, the Mangusta. When the project started, about two years ago, this car was destined to be a De Tomaso; later Bruce Qvale and the De Tomaso family have taken different paths. De Tomaso has bet on the new Guar� (look at the previous article) while Qvale has founded an his own firm in Modena, and now is launching the new "Qvale Modena Mangusta".

Alcuni decenni dopo l'argentino Alejandro De Tomaso, un'altro straniero, Bruce Qvale, un americano d'origine norvegese, apre a Modena una nuova fabbrica di auto sportive. La prima macchina di questo nuovo marchio � ispirata a una delle De Tomaso pi� fortunate, la Mangusta. Quando il progetto part�, circa due anni fa, questa macchina doveva essere una De Tomaso; in seguito Bruce Qvale e la famiglia De Tomaso hanno preso strade differenti. De Tomaso ha puntato sul rilancio della Guar� (vedi l'articolo precedente) mentre Qvale ha fondato un suo marchio a Modena, e ora sta lanciando la nuova "Qvale Modena Mangusta".

The Mangusta has a front engine and the traction on the rear axle.
The engine is a Ford 4.6l V8 4-valves DOHC which max power is 320 bhp @ 6000 rpm. The 5 speed gearbox is manual. The weight is 1500 Kg (3307 lbs). The top-speed is 149 mph (240 kph) and the 0-100 Kph time (almost the same of the 0-60 mph time) is 5.2 sec.

La Mangusta ha motore anteriore e trazione sull'asse posteriore. Il motore � un Ford 4600cc. V8 4 valvole con doppio albero a camme in testa la cui potenza massima � 320 CV a 6000 giri/min. Il cambio � manuale a 5 marce. Il peso � di 1500 Kg, la velocit� massima � di 240 Km/h (149mph) e il tempo per passare da 0 a 100 Km/h � 5,2 secondi.

The most interesting feature of this car is the exclusive Rototop System. You may convert the car from a coup� to a targa removing the top of the roof and from a targa to a spider taking down the rear of the roof.

La caratteristica pi� interessante di questa vettura � l'esclusivo sistema Rototop. La Mangusta si trasforma da coup� a targa togliendo la parte superiore del tetto e da targa a spider abbassando il lunotto.
