FERRARI SVELA LA NUOVA 550 BARCHETTA PININFARINA
In the 1995 Ferrari presented the best rear engined spider ever, the F-50, to celebrate the (about) 50 years of the make. Five years later, in the 2000, Ferrari surprises everybody with a unexpected dream car to celebrate in the best way possible the 70 years of Pininfarina. So, having already produced the best rear engined barchetta, Ferrari chooses this time to present the best front-engine spider in the world, the 550 barchetta pininfarina.

Nel 1995 Ferrari present� la miglior spider a motore posteriore di sempre, la F-50, per celebrare i (quasi) 50 anni della casa. Cinque anni dopo, nel 2000, la Ferrari sorprende tutti con un'inaspettata dream-car per celebrare nel miglior modo possibile i 70 anni della Pininfarina. Cos�, avendo gi� prodotto la migliore barchetta a motore posteriore, Ferrari sceglie questa volta di presentare la migliore spider a motore anteriore del mondo, la 550 barchetta pininfarina.

The barchetta pininfarina is not simply the roadster version of one of the best front-engine sportcars. The windscreen lower than the "maranello" version, within other smaller style touches, delivers to enthusiasts the taste of the 50s and 60s barchettas. This version will be produced in a limited series in Maranello during 2001, each individually numbered and carrying a plaque inside with the car�s own serial number and Sergio Pininfarina�s signature.

La barchetta pininfarina non � semplicemente la versione roadster di una tra le migliori sportive a motore anteriore. Il parabrezza pi� basso della versione "maranello", unitamente ad altri pi� piccoli tocchi di stile, restituisce agli appassionati il sapore delle barchette degli anni '50 e '60. Questa versione verr� interamente prodotta a Maranello in serie limitata nel corso del 2001, con numerazione progressiva di ogni esemplare riportata a bordo vettura in una specifica targhetta sotto la firma di Sergio Pininfarina.
