S81: UN'ALTRA EMOTION CAR DA STOLA
It's nearly a shame that Stola is one of the world leaders in car engineering and not a sport car manufacturer. All the showcars which presents to demonstrate his capabilities are really emotions-machines, too beautyful to remain prototypes that we won't never have the chance to drive. The last Stola masterpiece is the S81, a tribute to the wonderful Lancia Stratos.

E' quasi un peccato che Stola sia uno dei leader mondiali nella progettazione automobilistica e non un costruttore di auto sportive. Tutte le showcar che presenta per dimostrare le proprie possibilit� sono delle vere e proprie macchine produci emozioni, troppo belle per rimanere dei prototipi che non avremo mai la possibilit� di guidare. L'ultimo capolavoro � la S81, un omaggio alla magnifica Lancia Stratos.

The styling has been defined by the free-lance designer Marcello Gandini, who was a Bertone designer in the 70s, the decade which has seen some of the best Bertone creations, from the Lamborghini Countach to the stunning Stratos 0 concept-car.

This concept-car not represents a mere re-edition of the 70s styling tendences. Is rather a 2000 sport car that with intelligence blinks the eye to the 70s, for example in the wheels design. The interior design suggests us that Gandini has also tried to find a contact-point between the Stratos 0 and the Road Lancia Stratos (See below). Also the wide and flat windscreen and the wheel design itself seem to be inspired by the same aim.

Questa concept-car non rappresenta una mera riedizione delle tendenze stilistiche degli anni '70. E' piuttosto una sportiva del 2000 che con intelligenza strizza l'occhio agli anni '70, per esempio nei design dei cerchi. Il design degli interni ci suggerisce che Gandini ha anche cercato di trovare un punto di contatto tra la Stratos 0 e la Lancia Stratos Stradale (Vedi sotto). Anche l'ampio e piatto parabrezza e lo stesso disegno dei cerchi sembrano essere ispirati dallo stesso intento.
