Jess and Hannah followed the small aliens
for a while until they came to an incredibly fancy street. There were palm trees
up and down the sides of the road, and in the road there were hundreds of
stretched limos.
Hannah, Jess and the aliens all ran into a large gold tower but were stopped by
two armed guards.
Jess and Hannah started to giggle at the sight of lots of small three-foot red
aliens being stopped by two three-and-a-half foot red aliens.
"You can't come through without a pass." One of them announced in a stern voice.
"Um, excuse me?" Jess cleared her throat. The guard looked up. "I'm not sure if
you recognise me or not - I'm Jess from 'Jess and Hannah' fame," She started
sarcastically, "But I'd strongly advise you let me in so I can see my Chris
otherwise I'll KICK YOUR RED ALIEN THREE AND A HALF FOOT BUTT 'TIL YOU WISH
YOU'D NEVER BEEN BORN!"
"Ooooooooooooh!" The smaller aliens erupted, laughing at the guards.
"Fine." One of the security guards answered, standing still.
Jess looked mildly surprised, but altogether pleased with the outcome. She leapt
forward, scattering the small aliens left, right and centre, before grabbing the
challenging alien around the head. She turned him around and gave him a good
kicking.
The small red aliens all gathered round to cheer, including Hannah who held up a
'GO JESS!' banner encouragingly.
After the security guard admitted defeat and the other guard had ran off in
fright, Jess was let into the building, followed by Hannah, still holding her
banner that she had acquired.
The group of red aliens were left outside with their faces pressed up against
the glass doors.
"They look a bit depressed, don't they?" Hannah remarked, looking back at them
as they walked through the entrance and reception areas.
"No, to be honest, Hannah." Jess replied. "They don't seem to show any emotional
feelings on their faces."
"Yeah, but there's something in their eyes." Hannah continued.
"I think we've been here too long." Jess said, looking at Hannah.
"We've only been here one hour."
"That's what I mean. One hour too long." Jess reflected.
They got into a lift and ascended to the 51st floor where the doors drew open to
reveal a backstage scene at the TV studio.
"I hope this is the right one." Jess said.
"You did beat that security guard until he screamed it in agony, so I'd think it
was otherwise he's a good liar." Hannah wandered up to an alien wearing
some headphones and holding a clipboard. "Excuse me? Do you know whereabouts the
entrance to the chat show stage is?"
The red alien dropped his clipboard and with a shaking hand pointed over to a
discreet door in a wall.
"Thank you." Hannah said. Always a polite girl.
Jess and herself walked across and opened up the door, walking through.
They were met by thousands of small red alien faces who sat in silence for a
matter of seconds before erupting in screams and applause.
Cameras, the chat show host and Chris Barrie all turned to look at them.
"CHRIS!!" Jess couldn't control her excitement and ran over to the actor
and flung her arms around him, squeezing him tight. After a minute she let go
smoothed her hair down and sat down gracefully in a chair that had been sat on
stage. "Ahem." She cleared her throat and went rather pink.
Hannah sat down next to her and the chat show host they had seen on screen with
the big hair starter asking them both questions.
"So nice to have you both with us, Jess and Hannah! Was it easy to get here?"
Jess and Hannah both looked at each other in surprise.
"Yeah." Hannah said. "We had to come through Space!"
The hostess nodded understandingly. "We know all about
your famous sarcasm here, Queen Hannah. We love it!"
Hannah raised an eyebrow. "Oh, REALLY?"
The crowd went psycho for about 25 minutes.
Finally everyone went quiet.
There was a silence.
Tentatively, Jess reached up and took off her glasses.
The crowd gasped.
Jess looked up at them.
No one moved.
She cleaned the glasses with the corner of her t-shirt.
The crowd gaped.
She put her glasses back on.
The crowd burst into rapturous applause.
"Jesus, I wonder what they'd do if you PICKED YOUR NOSE." Hannah muttered.
"What the hell happened?!" Jess yelled to Chris over the noise of the applause.
"When you got tied up in that celebration I go beaten up by the 'Jess and Kurt'
supporters." Chris said.
"Oh dear GOD!" Jess was horrified. "Were there that MANY of them?!"
"Well, no," Chris began. "But they had formed a coalition with the 'Jess and
Sean' and 'Jess and Patrick' groups."
"Oh NO!" Jess winced.
"Yeah. The 'Hannah and Jimmy' supporters joined in too."
"WHY?!"
"Boredom, I guess."
"My poor Chris!" Jess sobbed.
"ANYWAY," Chris continued. "I staggered away until I finally found the 'Jess's
fathers' fans' group and they found me fairly inoffensive, so they let me hide
with them. But when they realised I'd met you both and knew you, they wanted to
interview me and dragged me here..."
"TITS." Jess muttered.
"Well, how are we going to get away from this crazy-ass place?!" Hannah hissed.
"Jess and Hannah, please, come down to our main stage so we can play: 'I'M JESS
AND HANNAH; GET ME OUT OF HERE!'" The alien with the big hair cried. The
audience cheered again. Two assistant aliens came to lead them away.
"I do NOT like this." Jess tried to shake off the aliens, but they pulled her to
her feet.
Chris rose to go with them but the aliens pushed him back.
"Er, Chris...?" Hannah called. "If something horrendous happens, kindly save
us."
"With a STICK!" Jess added.
"With ANYTHING!" Hannah yelled, as they were dragged down some steps and
out of sight.
