Chapter Four: Read on for more Jess and Hannah. Jess's writing is in white and Hannah's writing is in black...

"Ok, ready?" Hannah emerged out of the kitchen with the best weapons she could muster - a large wooden spoon, a particularly whisk-y-looking whisk and last but not least, a flat-bottomed frying pan.
She looked across at Jess who was holding a blender (a battery operated one for extra convenience) and Chris who had a tea-towel tied around his head and a spatula in his hand.
"Yes."
"Hmm."
They both answered.
"Alright! Let's go to our death!" Hannah led the way down to the bottom of the Space ship.
"Can't believe you have no weapons whatsoever!" Jess said to Chris. "Bit of a pathetic Space ship!"
"Space is a bit dangerous to venture out into with no weapons whatsoever." Hannah agreed.
"Look, what do you think this is? Red Dwarf?!"
Jess looked guilty.
"-So far, no aliens, hostile or otherwise inclined, have showed up."
"Until now..." Hannah said as they reached the hatch of the ship.
Chris pressed a few buttons allowing them to walk into a room where they we4re shut in, air-locked and pressures were equalised out to match those outside, just to make sure they weren't blown anywhere.
When the green light above the outer door lit up, signalling it clear to go, they all braced themselves.
"Just to let you both know," Chris said before opening the door. "I will blame you both for anything that is about to happen."
"Well that's nice to know." Hannah remarked. "Now press the Goddamn button.
Chris reached forward and pushed the large red button. The doors opened with a whoosh and...nothing happened.
There was a silence for a minute until Hannah was brave enough to open her eyes. "Oh." She said, sounding slightly disappointed.
"What?" Jess asked, her eyes firmly shut.
"Nothing. Absolutely nothing." Hannah remarked.
Jess opened her left eye a millimetre and peered about with a squint. Absolute darkness. "Great." Jess flicked on her torch and pointed it around a bit.
"Jess, it would help if you pointed it in the direction of outside rather than on me." Chris said.
Jess pointed it outside reluctantly. There seemed to be nothing on the ground, just a smooth black floor.
"This is weird..." Hannah said.
"Never in all my travels have I seen anything like this." Chris said.
"All your fictional travels, you mean." Hannah pointed out.
"Shut up, Hannah." Said Jess.
"Come on, let's go explore." Hannah said. She walked to the edge of the ship's floor and stuck her foot out, trying out the floor. It was firm and felt a bit like lino with a strange plastic quality. She tapped her foot a bit harder. Still seemed safe. She leapt out of the ship and stomped on the ground for five minutes.
"Have you come to a decision yet?" Chris asked, sarcastically.
"No." Hannah started jumping up and down and stomping for a further six minutes.
"Oh for God's sake." Jess got off the Space ship and walked off with Chris following.
"Come back!" Hannah ran after them.
They continued walking in a straight line with Jess shining the torch ahead of them and occasionally on Chris. All the time they came across nothing, just the black lino-like floor.
"Well, I think we've seen enough here...obviously we're going to have to wait until the sun comes up. If there is one..." Chris moaned. "We might have to wait years and then there'll only be some puny sun millions of miles away that won't even light up-"
BANG!
"OWWW!!!"
"Oh my God!" Jess shone the torch on Chris who was clutching his head.
"What happened?!" Hannah exclaimed.
"It's a...DOOR!" Jess said, inspecting what was in front of Chris.
"Let's go through!" Hannah leapt forward and grabbed the metal handle.
"WAIT! There might be something on the other side!" Jess said.
"Yes, that's the point." Hannah said.
"I meant something bad." Hannah added.
"That attitude never got us where we are today!" Hannah exclaimed.
"Maybe I'd rather not be here." Jess said. She looked at Chris. "I take that back."
Hannah pushed open the door and the three travellers poked their heads through and gasped.
On the other side were lots of three-foot red aliens. They were running around carrying briefcases and all around were huge towers and hovercrafts.
"Maybe if we just close the door, no-one will ever know..." Jess said quietly.
They all nodded.
Jess pulled the door to slowly. Half-way shut it creaked loudly.
All the aliens stopped and looked around.
"It's JESS and HANNAH!!!" One screamed.
"WOW!"
"NO WAY!!"
They all screamed in excitement and surprise.
"They have finally come! After all their travels!!" One screamed.
They all ran towards Jess and Hannah and swarmed around them.
"You guys are famous?!" Chris looked from Jess to Hannah in confusion, then back to Jess again.
"Apparently so..." Jess looked around.
