Welcome to Chapter Two! Jess's writing is in the black script whilst Hannah's is in dark blue.

That evening, Jess had just left her room to go down for dinner when someone came up from behind her and grabbed her by the ear.
“ARRGH!” She tried to turn around to see who it was, but the hand twisted her ear and it hurt. “OW!”
“Don't you 'ow' me, young lady!” It was Dom. “I've been hearing some rather interesting things about you, missy. Things involving BOYS!”
Boys?!” Jess twisted away from him. “Billy's ten years older than you! And it was an experiment!”
“Experimentation is all it takes to RUIN YOUR LIFE!” Dom sighed and let go of Jess' ear. She cowered on the floor. “Well, I can't really ignore it any longer…my little girl is growing up. We'd better have a talk.”
“No Dad!” Jess had already had this talk 4 times before. God knows she didn't need it again. Suddenly Billy appeared around the corner.
“Ooh, hello!”
“The very man himself.” Dom frowned. “What line of work are you in, boy?”
“Um…” Billy thought for a second – this seemed a very odd question for his best friend to be asking him. Particularly as they'd just worked together for the past 3 years. “Acting.”
“-“ Dom was about to charge down the unsuitable-career lecture when Billy interrupted.
“TIG!” He gave a girly scream and ran off down the corridor.

“Good evening Miss, how may I help you?” The receptionist looked up.
“I don't suppose I've had any mail, have I?” Jess asked, hopefully.
“No.” The receptionist replied.
“Oh.” Jess wandered to the restaurant. A postcard every day is what Hannah had said…it seemed rather odd for her not to write especially given the opportunity for boasting.

Elijah came over.
“Any mail for me?” He asked the receptionist, idly.
“Um, yes, Mr Wood, hold on.” The receptionist disappeared under the desk and reappeared with 3 boxes, all stuffed with letters.
“How the HELL do you manage it?” Jess exclaimed, exasperated. “I can't even manage a stupid POSTCARD.”
“Well, all these,” Elijah indicated to two of the boxes. “Are proposal letters from your friend Ruby.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah.”
“And what about the third box?” Jess asked. Elijah went pink.
“Credit card bills.”
Aah.”
Jess left the reception desk and headed for the payphones.
“You're not going to sit there and wait for her to call again, are you?” Elijah asked, balancing his boxes precariously.
“I haven't got anything better to do.” Jess replied.
“Please, for the sake of your own sanity, FIND SOMETHING!” Elijah exclaimed.
OK, OK!” Jess headed for the lifts. “I'll go bother some hobbits.”

When Jess reached room 343 the door was slightly ajar. She could hear voices inside.
“Just chuck it all in.”
NO - you've got to do it carefully or it won't all fit in.”
“Get a grip, Sean!”
“Hey, if you don't want to get everything in the case…”
Jess pushed open the door.
“Hello?”
“Come in!” Came Sean, Dom and Billy's voices. Jess walked in and went into one of the bedrooms, where their voices were coming from.
There were 3 half-packed cases on the bed and clothes strewn EVERYWHERE.
“Wha…what are you doing?” Jess managed.
“Packing.” Sean replied.
“PACKING?!”
“Yes.” Said Billy.
“As in…PACKING?!”
“Yes. As opposed to 'PACKING'.” Billy said, sarcastically.
“But where are you going?”
“Home.” Sean said.
“Which is?” Jess was hysterical.
“America.”
“Up North.”
“Scotland.”
The three answers smacked into Jess as the realisation of what was happening finally sank in.
“OH GOD!”
