I cannot really tell you why you should join. The answer to that question is ultimately inside of you. What I can tell you is that after years of struggling with big box gyms and the cookie cutter models they apply to their clients, I had enough.
I would go to train and the gym was too crowded, it would disturb the flow of my workout routine. On some days I would meet a trainer and it would be a different person each week. They would look at their clip board and say "ok good, lets up the weight a little this week." "What about my injured shoulder?" I would ask. The typical resonse would be "well that is not documented here," as if because it was not written down I was faking it. Keep it!
So what about you? Do you have a goal you want to accomplish? Run a race, get fit, loose 30 pounds by the end of summer, learn some fun and unusual skills, learn how to fish, hunt, shoot or keep a calm head in a crisis? Your goal is our goal. If you have a goal, we can provide you the mental and physical tools required to crush it.
If you have no desirnable goals then we cannot help you. But even if you have the idea of a goal, we can work with you to flesh out the details. A goal must be specific and measureable. A goal such as" "get fit" is ultimately subjective. We would ask you, ok are you fit this week? How would you answer that? A goal such as fit into 32" waist pants, or add 10 pounds of muscle, or bench press my body weight is measureable.
To consistnetly acheive requires the right attitude. That is why I created a place where a mindset of persoanal discipline and accountability is built into the training. It fosters confidence in your abilities as well as always pushing a bit further so you do not plateua.
I embrace the concept of a sheepdog and push this concept with Tactical Fitness. A sheepdog is slang for a civilian who is prepared for situations. Many people mistake it for a prepper. A person who is aware of disasters or situations that may occur in their area and prepares for them is a sheepdog. They are in tune with their environment and will not be caught with their pants around their ankles during a crisis. An example I use would be a blizzard with 3' of snow. Tactical Fitness is based in New England so this is a plausible scenario. I have a generator with extra fuel, I have 25 gallons of water, freeze dried food for a week, and a wood stove as an extra method of heating my home. I would be alright in the event I lose power for a week or could not get out of house to a main road for some time.
Take advantage of the unusual skill building classes Tactical Fitness offers. They are fun and can help you broaden your knowledge. When situations arise most of the time you cannot wait 5 minutes or more for fire/EMS/police. You need to react to make it safe for you and your family. Having a plan and thought process of being prepared can make things less stressful.
