A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO PRECISION ALIGNMENT WORKSHOP |
This course is designed for maintenance team who
is involved with machinery alignment. The course subject focuses on the reason
why precision alignment is necessary, mistake done without realising it while
doing alignment work. Pitfall in alignment process. How to measure and offset
bar sag. Identify and rectify soft foot problem. How to measure actual machine
movement due to thermal growth. Practical exercise on all methods of alignment
is carried out during the courses. Method of doing alignment without
dismantling the coupling and technique on alignment with the shaft not turning.
The course covers all alignment methods such as straight edge, feeler gauge,
dial indicator, Rim & Face, reversed dial method, long spool (shaft) and
laser. Why do precision alignment Overview of alignment method Prealignment checks and procedure Machinery soft foot : measurement, analysis and correction Procedures and precautions for taking accurate readings and measuremen Converting misalignment data from one method to another; graph plotting and formula Finding the optimum moves when it is necessary to move both machines Precision movement of machine Alignment machines that have a long or jack shaft Alignment when one shaft cannot be rotated Alignment tolerances INSTRUCTOR PROFILE |
