INSTRUCTOR PROFILE
MOHAMAD HANAFI ABD RAHMAN is
a vibration consultant of more than 10 years of industrial experience
of which more than 8 years are directly involved in the monitoring and
analysis of turbomachinery in the oil gas refineries. He holds a
Vibration Specialist Level I from the Technical Associates of
Charllotte, USA .
He has been widely consulted
by many companies in the oil and gas refineries, the power generation,
petrochemical, shipping and marine industries, and other manufacturing
plants on their machinery
problems. He has also assisted them in setting up their own monitoring
and predictive maintenance programs, including the training of their
personnel. He has been a vibration consultant for Petronas Group of
Companies (Petronas Carigali, Petronas Penapisan & Petronas
Gas), EPMI Production, Talisman (M) Limited, MISC and Petrofac (M)
Limited.
He
has lectured and conducted many practical courses locally on
vibration analysis and alignment for several oil and gas industries,
and educational institutions including the Petronas Group of Companies
(Petronas Carigali, Petronas Penapisan & Petronas Gas), ESSO
Production Malaysia, Malaysia Institude of NDT, Institut Latihan
Peridustrian Gebeng, Penjom Gold Mine Kuala Lipis and Kilang Gula
Chuping Perlis.
His experiences include
installation of vibration monitoring systems on high speed
turbomachinery, calibration, maintenance and repairs of these systems,
machinery signature analysis, hot alignment, acceptance testing, start
up services and general problem resolution. He has also good knowledge and experience in balancing machinery rotor in–situ. Over the years, he has worked with a wide variety
of analytical instruments such as Scientific Atlanta, Spectral
Dynamics, Bentley Nevada, IRD Mechanalysis, Hewlett Packard,
PMC–Beta, Metrix, SKF Palomar, and CSI.
