YARIŞMASI LEFKOŞA-2001 AMAÇ VE KATILIM:Çağdaş kentleşme konularında, insan ve mekan
ilişkileri üzerinde önemle durulmaktadır. Kent ve mekan kimliğinin
sürekliliğinin sağlanması, çağdaş normlara oturtulması ilk sırada yer alan
zorunluluklardır. Kültür bütünlüğünün sağlanabilmesi, geçmişte varolan tüm
değerlerin bilinçli ve çok boyutlu olarak dikkate alınması, çağdaş
koşullar çerçevesinde yeniden tartışılarak geliştirilmesi, köklü
yönlendirici politikalar üretebilmesi kuşkusuz çağdaş kentleşme ile üst
üste örtüşmektedir.Çağdaş kentleşme alanında başarılı olmak kuşkusuz
bilinçli kişilerin oluşturacağı kurumların gerçekleşmesi ile olacaktır.
Yaşayan halkın kendilerini kentin bir parçası olarak hissetmeleri de çok
önemlidir. Çağdaş bir kent ve mekan kimliğini sağlayacak olan ise şüphesiz
yerel yönetimler ve yaşayan halkdır. KTMMOB konuya olan duyarlılığı
gereği, 2002 yılında düzenlenecek olan "Çağdaş Kentler ve Yerel
Yönetimler" konulu sempozyum çerçevesinde bu karikatür yarışmasını
düzenlemiştir. Konuların, genel olarak, Kuzey Kıbrıs'a yön verecek şekilde
ve/veya Kuzey Kıbrıs kentleri özelinde irdelenmesi hedeflenmektedir...
