National Press Club of Canada, 2nd International Editorial CArtoon Competition. 2002
The National Press Club of Canada's 2nd International Editorial Cartoon Competition
Professional and freelance cartoonists, worldwide, are invited to participate in the National Press Club of Canada's Second International Editorial Cartoon Competition. The winner will receive $1500 Cdn and will be brought to Ottawa, Canada to receive the award at the National Press Club's World Press Freedom Day Luncheon, Friday 3 May 2002. Two Honorable Mentions will be awarded $500 Cdn each. The winners will be advised the week of 8 April

Criteria-Sartlar:
1. The theme of the competition is Press Freedom/Freedom of Expression. (Basın özgürlüğü; İfade özgürlüğü )
2. The cartoons may be new or from the cartoonist's portfolio but they may not have won an award. A maximum of three cartoons will be accepted from each entrant. They may be in color or black and
white.(Sayi: En cok 3 tane. Teknik:

3. The size of the cartoon should not exceed A4; (21 -29.2 cm; 8.25 by 11.5 inches - approximately)

4. Titles or captions may be in any language but translation must be provided in English, French or Spanish. The cartoons will not be
returned.(Karikatürdeki başlık ya da metinler herhangi bir dilde olabilir fakat ayrıca İngilizce, Fransızca ya da İspanyolcaya çevrilmelidir.)
5. A brief description of the event that inspired the cartoon should be provided as well as a short biography of the artist - both for the catalogue.
6. A catalogue of cartoons received on the theme will be published and copies sent to each entrant.
7. The rights for non-profit use, of the cartoons entered, will belong to the National Press Club of Canada. This will include the right of reproduction in a catalogue, for a public exhibition and use on the Club's web site. Participation in the competition is considered as consent by the cartoonist with the conditions of this article #7.
8. The cartoonist's name, address, telephone, fax number, and e-mail if available, must be on the reverse side of each cartoon.
Entries should be sent to the address below by mail, fax or e-mail attachment. The deadline for receiving entries is 5 pm Eastern Standard Time, Thursday, 28 March 2002.
