Mungo is a little white monkey.

Mungo's origins are shrouded in mystery, but it is certain that he was born somewhere within the magical heart of Africa. Smuggled upon a boat full of bananas, Mungo arrived none the worse for wear (unlike the bananas) in Ireland almost twenty years ago, where he took up residence in the village of Blackrock with a little girl called Iseult. Throughout his long life, Mungo has tried his paw in different spheres, excelling in each. For a while he was Judge in the animal court, where he met one of his best friends, Miss Monkey, a lawyer. Mungo has also been a star of the animal silver screen, appearing in such films as the Sherlock Nobbles favourite,
'The Curse of the Capercaillie'.
Recently, Mungo has turned his paw to writing, which he enjoys immensely. Drawing largely from his own life experiences, he thought up the idea of Arborea, the Kingdom of Animals and the Place of Men. While this is his first novel, he has plenty of ideas for further adventures of Leaf and Rainbow.
