| BOOK ONE: THE MARK OF THE WOLF |
||||||||||||||||||||
| Janna has always been different. As a child, growing up with her brothers and sisters on a remote mountain sheep farm, she was the only member of her family to have silver hair and be able to communicate with animals. However, she didn't realise how different she was until her first transformation into a wolf, in her twelfth year. After telling her parents about her transformation, they told her the truth - she was found on their doorstep as a new born infant, with a sapphire pendant on a silver chain and a leather bound book written in a strange language. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Confused and ashamed of her abilities, Janna keeps her powers secret from everyone. It is easy, when she lives secluded with her family, but when she moves to the town of Mayre to work in the house of the wealthy Count, she finds it harder and harder to keep her secret, and she begins to discover which of her new friends she can really trust and which cannot see past the fact that she is a moonwolf. Befriended by her cousin, Hans, the horse dealer, Janna finds out more than she thought possible about her real parents and the fact that their killers will stop at nothing to find her and finish the job that they started eighteen years before. Can Janna master her powers in time to escape death at the same hands of her parent's murderer? |

| BOOK TWO: IN SEARCH OF THE MOON | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Confident in her new found knowledge and her growing powers, Janna flees to Paranor to take on the source of her enemy - the ancient Followers of the Shining Lady, whose leader, Cedric d'Telle, resides in a gilt roofed temple in the university city of Citybridge. There, Janna realises that she has a lot to learn. Luxor, a mysterious woman who calls herself a Lion, teaches Janna about the Followers, while Janna discovers that it may not only be her life that is at stake, but also the lives of her friends from Mayre. When Hans tracks Janna down to Citybridge, he helps her and Luxor in a plan to take down the leader of the Followers of the Shining Lady and destroy them for good. However, when their plans turn against them and they are captured by the Followers, can Janna defeat their leader and hope to survive the final fight? |
