Carlton vs Western Bulldogs     Round 19

11.6.72
11.9.75

Carlton
Western Bulldogs

Final Score

Against all odds, the Bulldogs defeated Carlton in a thriller, by 3 points. They fought hard all day and were deserved winners (despite what many Carlton fans think).

It was a low scoring game, which suited the Dogs, as they had limited goal scoring options. Best on ground, Garlick, kicked 6 goals, while Johnson, Brown, Bartlett and first gamer, Murphy also contributed to the goal tally.

Scott Wynd controlled the ruck to give midfielders West, Romero and Libba many opportunities. Matthew Croft held Whitnall brilliantly in the first half, while Mitch Hahn played his best game so far.

This was an important win for the Dogs, as they continue to fight to stay in the eight.

The Doggies must consolidate with a win against Collingwood next week, with Curley and Grant possible inclusions.

Best Players
