Brisbane Lions vs Western Bulldogs    Round 17

Brisbane Lions       20.18.138
Western Bulldogs   11.15.81

Final Score

Despite the previosly fierce rivalry between these two teams, the game failed to live up to expectations, becoming quite a one sided affair.

The Doggies kicked the first goal of the first quarter, but then it was all Brisbane. At the end of the quarter, it was 15 scoring shots to 3.

Things didn't improve much for the Bulldogs in the second quarter. At half time the scores were 13.11.89 to 3.4.22.

As was expected the Dogs fought back in the third quarter, kicking 6 goals to 1.

However, the 36 point deficit proved too great for the Dogs as the Lions kicked away to win by 57 points.

The Bulldogs are still in 6th positions on the ladder, but with a tough draw into the finals, they will have to lift their game if they are to make it.
