Nevada Falls

Nevada Falls is the first of two waterfalls the Merced River flows over as it drops 2,000 feet into Yosemite Valley. This fall is a little over 600 feet high. The river then roars over Vernal Falls, falling just 350 feet. I know that doesn't add up to 2,000 feet, but between the two falls, the water follows a sloped plain downhill to Vernal Falls.
