Stratosphere Tower Hotel & Casino

Standing nearly 1,000 feet in the air, this tower is the tallest building west of the Mississippi River and the tallest freestanding structure in the United States. You can take elevator to the top, moving at 21 mph, or about 3 floors a second! At the top there is an indoor and an outdoor observation deck and two thrill rides. A roller coaster, the highest coaster in the world started out at 908 feet. And an airpower ride on the needle on top that shoots riders straight up the needle and into a freefall.
