Guest Info
In general we intend to have the wedding outside, rain or shine at sunset. Please bring a coat and umbrella. You just never know with Vancouver weather. The wedding itself will contain elements of various traditions. Some German, some North American, some pagan, some military and whatever else we thought would make a great party and that defined us. It will be a bit different, however not uncomfortably so. Be prepared for Mrs Lum's great cooking, a yummy cake and lots of fun.

We will go straight from the ceremony to the dinner. No messing and standing around waiting for pictures to be taken.I am sure that some of you will be hungry by then. The dinner will be in a military format. If you remain seated, it will be easier on the servers and the dinner will be over quicker. Ward and I haven't discussed speaches yet. Maybe after the toast to the Queen.

Right after the dinner, we will move to the Combined Mess for more drinks and dancing. Ward and I will probably stay close to the bitter end. It is that dancing thing again. If you have any favourite songs that you want to hear played, just email me and I can put them on our list.

Guilty. We tried the restaraunt last Wed. It was definitely 5 star food. Chicken leg stuffed with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, apricot pie with peach sherbert...I think that we went back to work with a food coma!

We got engaged! Jump forward from here to jul 7. During this time, I have only managed to secure a ceremony and reception site, a caterer, DJ and a tentative photographer. I guess that takes care of the most important stuff. Wine, wo(men) an song will make for a great party.

I have the cake! I had only gone to two cake places and that was enough for me. I have decided on a chocolate cake wit raspberry filling. The outside will be the traditional white. I won't break all of the traditions. Just some of them. The cake tasted like a Sacher Torte. I ended up buying it at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. Believe it or not, the chefs like to bake wedding cakes to relax. There is also a restaraunt. I must try it our in the next little while.

I also finally have the start to a website. It has been a lot of fun building his site..
