Writing  has been a part of me from the time I was able to put thought down on paper.  As a teenager, I wrote poetry but was always very private about it never really showing my "work" to either family or friends.  (A writer always has a hard time having a piece critiqued!)

As I got a little older, I began to make up children's stories (never really writing them down) for the "brood" of neices and nephews that I was fortunate enough to have call me "auntie".  Children have insatiable curiosity whose questions give way to great story ideas.  But, it wasn't until I got married and moved away that I began to write these stories down.  As most of these stories were about things dealing with Christmas I would send them to my neices & nephews in the form of a Santa letter.  To my amazement, my siblings showed these story/letters to friends and I was getting phone calls from family asking if I would be willing to write letters to their friends' children.  I did this for many years.  There always seemed to be children who wanted the stories.  With a family as big as mine there were always some nieces and nephews who were young enough to tell my stories to.  As well, as my own children.

It's been a few years now since I have been able to "play"  Santa, but I still get asked to tell my stories around the holiday season.   Lately, I have been thinking of trying to have these stories published, though I have been told it's a long and difficult process.   It was with that thought in mind that I submitted one of my stories
(The Christmas Tree Fairies) to an online writing group and to my amazement they wanted to use it on their site.  It is that story I have included on this site.

I am in the process of attempting to wriite my first adult novel.  The "process" has taken me almost 4 years to write twelve pages, but it is my hope that in time, I will be able to include parts of it  on my web site for my visitors enjoyment  (or criticism!).

Again, I wish you enjoyment as you browse through my site!
