Where to begin?  That is a question that most novice genealogist ask themselves.  I am by no means and expert in this field but am just a little past the "Where to begin" question.  My interest in my family genealogy began when I took on the task of finding out information on my grandparents (on my mother's side) for a family newsletter my siblings and I were sending out to the numerous aunts, uncles, great aunts and cousins for a family reunion we were trying to put together.

From there the "bug" just kind of took hold of me but, I think it helped that I "lucked out" on the first family name I began to research and was fortunate enough to find someone (on the internet)  who was trying to connect all the families of that particular surname together.
The surname I began my research with was my maternal grandmother's maiden name of "Sprague" and thanks to this kindly gentleman,
Dick Weber, I have that particular branch of my tree back to the fourteenth century

I have NOT been so lucky with the other names I have been researching.  It is my hope that as I plod along I will slowly begin to peice little bits of family information together to give me clues as to where to go.

On this part of my site I am hoping to be able to post  ancestral pictures, history and any stories that I find interesting.  Reseach, thus far, has proven to show me some interesing things.  So check back often and if any of you have information pertaining to my family surname interests, please email me.
