Stylus 300 digicam. The show was a good opportunity to photograph some animal behavior. |
Stylus 300 digicam. Feeding time was another great photo opportunity. Dusty brown tortoises sitting around doing nothing won't make a great photo, but chowing down on a nice hunk of watermelon can make even a tortoise become an interesting subject. |

Stylus 300 digicam. The flamingos provided another great photo opportunity with good colors, a nice habitat and enough behavior to reward the patient photographer. |

Stylus 300 digicam. Hissy fit !! Every once in a while these otherwise calm birds would ruffle up their feathers and honk in each other's faces. I'm not sure if this was fighting behavior, mating behavior, or both. |
Stylus 300 digicam. The birds and the sandy island both look overexposed with bleached colors in the afternoon harsh sunlight. |
X-370 filmcam. I'm not sure that these pictures were taken at the same time of day, but it looks like the filmcam got the better exposure and more realistic colors. |
X-370 filmcam. Red panda. This
perky,
cute little guy was frisking around all over its beautiful habitat. The
shade of a big tree provided perfect lighting conditions even in
midafternoon when the direct sunlight was pretty harsh out on the
flamingo pond. I took 6 film pictures here, but now I wish that I had
also taken dozens of additional pictures with the digicam. |
