1b. Berkeley Kite Festival

This event was a photographer's dream. There were lots of big colorful kites and a clear blue sky. The filmcam and the digicam worked equally well for the giant kites flown at low altitude. I wish I had used the filmcam and the big zoom lens to photograph more of the medium and small kites flown at higher altitudes.

1. Movie. Here is a short movie taken at the kite festival with my Stylus 300 digicam. File size = 4 MB. Click here to download the movie to your harddrive.

You need to have Quicktime software installed on your computer to view the movie after it is downloaded onto your harddrive.

Its not a great movie, but it does illustrate how a movie can convey more of the event than a still picture can. This shows the maximum length and maximum quality of movie that my digicam can produce. If you are serious about movies you need to buy a movie camera, but these little movie clips may sometimes be useful.
