As many of you know Alexï¿½s birthday is coming up on June 8th. Last year I did a charity project for his birthday and I would like to do it again this year. I want to get a bit of an earlier start this year to allow all the international fans to participate. If you would like to participate please send a donation and I will compile them all and send one hopefully large check to the charity in Alexï¿½s name. I will be putting together a birthday book as well with messages from all the fans who donated to the charity in his name. You can be as creative as you like with your page for Alexï¿½s book and you can either email it to me or mail it directly to my home. If you can, include a picture of yourself so Alex can see all the wonderful Fans who participated. He really enjoyed this gift last year so I hope everyone who can will participate.

Last year we were able to raise $700 for Cedars Sinai Hospital in LA in Alexï¿½s name. I asked Alex if there is a charity he would like us to send the money to this year. His response was ï¿½I know there are a lot of people in a million different charities that could use our help, but I thought for this year we could do something for all the millions of animals out there that are homeless or being mistreatedï¿½. I did some research and found a wonderful place right in Los Angeles. I wanted it to be in his home community. Hey everyone! Everything is going great here in Europe! It's so awesome to be back out on the road working this new record! I can't talk long cause I'm crazy busy, but I'll be back in here soon to give you all an update. I just wanted to let all of you know, if you're interested, my girlfriend, Jennifer, has her first co-staring role in a major movie out now. The movie is called "Never Die Alone" staring the rapper DMX and is out now in theaters everywhere in America only. I must say it's a slightly disturbing movie to say the least ;) ...sex, drugs, etc....but, if you want to check it out that would be cool. Dear Calling Fans,

Hey there, just want to fill you all in on what is coming up:

We're spending the next month rehearsing with our new backup band, shooting a video, finishing two new songs for the album, and getting ready to launch a worldwide tour. We had auditions recently and have put together a great new band that's really sounding amazing. Aaron and I just wrote the treatment for the video of "Our Lives" that we'll be shooting in the next two weeks. We were having a hard time finding the right idea to portray the meaning of this song in a video, so we took it to ourselves to create exactly what we want and I can tell you right now that this video is going to kick serious ass!

We're going back into the studio next week to complete two more new singles for "Two" and finally finish this record for good! In the end of March, we'll be leaving to Europe, Japan, and America to begin a world promo tour that will quickly evolve into a full show tour throughout the world. The first single, "Our Lives", will be at radio stations internationally the middle of next month and in America the end of next month. Stay tuned for more updates on the album release dates, but be assured that you will all be hearing our new record "Two" soon!

We're definitely ready to get out there and see all you guys again, and we're hoping you're all ready to see us! We want to apologize for all the confusion surrounding the release dates of the new single and album. We're just as frustrated as all you guys cause we really can?t wait until you hear our new songs! We'll be updating you soon, and stick around cause we'll definitely need all your help around the world next month when "Our Lives" is released everywhere. With the famous Clive Davis executive producing our incredible new album, and the best fans in the world, we couldn't be more confident that this is going to be an incredible year. Dear Calling Fans,

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Aaron and Alex here, just dropping in to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah and Happy New Year and all the other Happy's and Merry's out there for the end of this year! We couldn't be anymore excited for next year and all the amazing things that are to come with this new record. We also couldn't be more thrilled about the end results of this record, especially the first single, which you will all be hearing very, very soon! We both have a lot to be thankful for this year and number one on the list is how thankful we are for having the greatest fans in the world. You guys have stuck with us for all the ups and downs of The Calling and we appreciate that more than anything. We hope to get your continued support throughout this next year, when we embark on another rollercoaster ride with this new record.

The single's due to come out February in all countries and the record is slated to come out end of March (America, first week of April). We will begin touring late next month in Europe for promotions only and work our way quickly around the globe. After that, we'll be getting to each and every one of you, performing all the favorites of Camino Palmero and of the new album titled, Two. Believe it or not, I am the jealous type. When I see my girl on TV making out with other guys, I just want to put my hands over my eyes and scream!!!

Dear friends,

Alex and I want to let you know what is happening these days. Life could not be more exciting! After returning from an incredible tour of Brazil and Panama, finishing the new record has been amazing and we can't wait until you all hear it! This record means so much to us, we have worked so hard and I know everyone will feel it. Led by the famous Clive Davis and Co. we have a restructured record label behind us and are now planning for the upcoming success. Also "Wherever You Will Go" will be featured in the new Hugh Grant movie "Love Actually", and we are finalizing plans to record a song for another upcoming film early next year!

Sadly, in the midst of all these wonderful events, Billy Mohler and Nate Wood have resurfaced after forsaking our circle. Filled with lots of regret, and an entire year after suddenly quitting, they decided to sue Alex and me, calling us liars and unjust people. I cannot express how hurt we are from their money-driven and false accusations.

Alex and I have given the last eight and a half years of our life to make The Calling a reality. We are good people. We take absolute care of our own. We care about our music. We care about our fans. We trust our choices in life and have always followed our hearts- especially in such a demanding and competitive music industry.

Because we believe in ourselves, our actions, our choices, and our music, we want to let everyone know that we are compelled to fight Billy and Nate's dishonesty with full force. We cannot stand for this, we will not stand for this, and no one else should either. We are not going to lay down and be terrorized. Alex and I, with the help of our family and friends will do everything it takes to vindicate ourselves in the face of Billy and Nate's shameful conduct. Alex and I are asking you all for your support in our campaign. Our lives and the lives of Calling fans everywhere have found a common thread within the fabric of our music and no one will take that away from all of us.

Be well, and be positive. We are not fearful, and remain thankful and focused on the many fortunate things happening every day for The Calling. Hi everyone! We wanted to fill you guys in on everything that's been going on recently and all that is to come.

The record is finally finished and we will be spending the rest of the year putting together the final touches on things and finishing up all that goes into the setup of our new record. We had a lot of fun making the "in-studio" videos and we're glad to hear you guys liked them! We're planning to put out the record first quarter of next year and immediately start touring the world again with all new material and new players. We're sorry that we couldn't get the record out to you guys this year, but we promise it's for the best. We're so excited for you all to hear it soon!

We can't thank you guys enough for your continued support through everything we've achieved in the last 2 years and all that is to come in the near future. The last record was an amazing experience and with your help we know the next one will be even better! There's so much to look forward to and we can't do it without you! 1.)How soon do you think that TC comes back to Brazil to make shows? There are foreseen dates? Some people here are saying that the on next December or January TC may come to Brazil. Is that truth?

Honestly I don't know yet when exactly we will be returning to Brazil. Right now we don't even know for sure if BMG can put our record out by the end of this year...and if they can't get things organized in time then we'll have to wait until January to release the new record. If that happens then we will be starting to tour next year and it could be months more until we make it back to Brazil. I know we will for sure be coming back there for the new record so don't worry! I will make sure it happened as soon as possible!

2.)When we will be able to hear the first single from the new album and what is the name of it?

I can't tell you the name of it yet because we haven't completely decided which of the new songs will be the first single....and like the answer to the last question, you will either here the new songs in the next month or not until January.

3.)Did you have something embarrasing or had some type of disillusionment in concerts here in Brazil?

Nothing embarrassing happened, but I was hit in the face by many gifts thrown on stage...I have a black eye still form one girl who threw a metal bracelet at my nose! I'm fine though!

4.)When we will be able to see the continuation of the Tour Diary?

I wrote a 15 page tour diary full of every little detail of the Brazil tour...They are currently cutting it into 3 separate parts and will be putting them online one at a time this week.

5.)What do you think about fan clubs that only appears when the band is near to visit the country?

A fan club is a fan club and it's just a great thing to have them at all. We are a very lucky band to have the kind of dedicated fans that we have...especially in Brazil....You guys rock!

I'm not sure how the whole J Leno thing got started, but Santana and I are not doing Leno this week and there is no date set to do it as of yet. I was told J Leno was "dark" this week, meaning he is not taping new episodes this week, just playing reruns. I'll get to the bottom of it all and figure it out tomorrow. Hey everyone! I just wanted to say sorry that you guys didn't get to see the video first before it was sent out. I'm glad most of you like it though:) Because this isn't The Calling's material, I have no control over any of it (that's also why you guys didn't get to hear the song before it went to radio). I always want you guys to be the first to see/hear stuff and with The Calling's stuff you always will be. Anyway, today was our first day in the studio and it went so great! I wish you guys were there with us so you could hear it all NOW! But I guess that would kind of put me out of a job though;) There's going to be a way for you guys to at least see what we're doing here next week, hopefully:) I'll check back soon! All the love...

Answer: I am a slacker....it's true...I just can't stop watching American Juniors over and over and over again;) No, you know, I've just been hard at work with a few little things like; doing promo and press for the "hit?" song with Santana, writing and recording a new record(10 times better than the last:), producing and co starring in something (I can't say what, but it's big), puting a band together and rehearsing to go back out on tour starting in Brazil, doing artwork and photoshoots and new website designs for our upscoming record which is scheduled for release in mid October (1st single goes to radio 1st week of September).....so, you know, just relaxing a bit:) I hope that fills you in on a portion of the insanity! All the love...

(2) 1) do you play any sport?
I use to love playing football in high school but I didn't really have the body for it...I would just catch the ball and run like hell to the goal line! I always made it though, so you could say I was pretty good at the sport.

2) How many girlfriends did you have so far? How many are serious relationships?
I've had way too many girlfriends to count in my llife and ashamed to say that in high school I might have had multiple girlfriends at once...I was a kid, I was stupd. Anyway, I've only had three long-term relationships and the one I'm in now has been the longest of the three.

3) When you were a kid, did you ever picture yourself doing what you do right now?
When I was a kid I KNEW that I would be doing what I am doing now, always. And lucky enough I'm doing it:)

4) Whose your celebrity crush?
I like Lucy Liu (the girl from Charlies Angels)...she's a hottie.

5) Do you love only cats? how about dogs?
I like dogs, but I'm more of a cat person, you know?

6) Are boybands cool for you or do they suck?
I wouldn't mind them if they played their own instruments and wrote their own songs...but then they wouldn't be a boy band would they? So, I guess my answer is no, they suck!

7) Do you play any other instrument aside from the guitar?
Yes. I've played piano as well, since I was about eight and I can also play the bass a little and the drums...badly...and saxophone believe it or not.

8) Do you prefer Avril Lavigne or Michelle Branch?
Michelle's a great girl and a friend of mine, but Avril is just so damn hot...uh, I like them both although I respect Michelle more as a musician.

9) Are you ever going here in the Philippines?
It would be stupid for us not to go there next time we're in Asia...I know I'm gonna go, I just don't know I can get everyone else to follow me;)

!!!FINALLY STARTING TO RECORD!!!

That's right! We start next week and we'll be recording up until we leave for Brazil on August 11th. I'm so excited to record all these new songs finally!!! I can't wait for you guys to hear them later this year. I'm still promising a 10X better record than CP and I think we've got it. I told Aaron we should name the new record after the street that he lives on now, since we are recording there and wrote the record there too....but he's a little scared by that idea...I wonder why? ;) Over the next month we're going to keep you guys very up to date on the studio process in a very cool way, but you'll find out how soon enough....it will be lots of fun;) Everything else is going really good. We've found one piece of the puzzle in the search for a touring band...He's really cool and a badass player. All you Brazilian Fans will see soon enough:) As most of you guys are finding out on your own, the Santana song is doing extremely well at radio. On the Adult Top 40 chart within two weeks of being released we're already almost half way up to the top! We've been getting a huge amount of radio stations every week adding our song to their play list and....bum bum bum....PLAYING IT!! It's amazing! I actually just watched the finished video with Carlos and me and it?s really cool. I'm pretty sure it's going to MTV next week, but I don't know that yet. We'll see if they play this one... I'll let you guys know when they get it so we can start the oh so fun chore of voting....Come on guys, you still love me right? Wouldn't it be great to actually vote for a video and then really see it on your television? :) So, everything's looking good in The Calling world right now. There's some other really big stuff in the works for me but I can't say what yet. I just wanted to thank everyone for all the Happy Birthday messages! I had a really great birthday. I just got back from dinner with my family and Aaron and friends...it was really sweet. Thank you Debbie (Calling Mom) and all who contributed to the money that went to Cedars in my Grandfather's name! That was so cool! Also thanks to all who sent a birthday message for me in that great book that Debbie made. It really made my day even better to read through all that! I heard "Why Don't You and I" on a local radio station here in LA called Kiss today. It was nice to hear a song played on the radio other than Wherever You Will Go. So, it's time for everyone to start attacking their local radio stations! I know I will:) I can't wait for you all to see the video soon! !!Hey Guys!!
I just wanted to let you all know that the video shoot is going amazingly and tomorrow is our last day of shooting here in San Francisco. I can barely stand up after today because I was in this full body metal harness thing flying around on cables 50 feet in the air since 5 in the morning! It was really scary and painful (especially in the "manly" regions) since the harness raps around inbetween your legs :( Anyway, the vid is going to look super cool. Santana and I were rockin out all day in the middle of a big park here with thousands of hippies and some fans as well. I'm going to bed now cause I'm destroyed and I got to do it all again tomorrow. Oh, for those of you wondering why radio stations are starting to play the song before you guys got to hear it I'm sorry about that...see, it's not a "Calling" song or project so I have no power over any of it when it comes to that stuff. Hey guys!!! I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in a while but Aaron and I have been really busy writing and making demos of all our new songs, since we're getting really close to starting to record the new record.There's one in particular that we just finished today that I was like, Holy shit, this is a good song if I do say so myself:) Maybe the first single? Anyway, I wanted to tell you guys how Wango Tango went with Santana! It was so exciting to be on stage with him even though it was only for like three minutes and thirty seven seconds:) We had rehearsed a bit the day before since we have a bunch of TV appearances coming up, not just Wango Tango (I know you guys already know about Good Morning America in NY, cool huh!?!?) He is the nicest most down to earth guy I've ever met. When we got off stage, he gave me roses to thank me for doing this with him, I was like, "No! Thank you fool!"...Well, I didn't say 'fool' but you get the point:) So we're shooting a video for the song the first week of June in San Francisco right in the middle of the city. I can't give away what it's about, but I can tell you that it has a way bigger budget than our videos (duh) and I will be doing a lot of flying;) That's right, flying through the city (and I thought standing on a roof of a house in our first video was scary enough!). I've got some good news for all you fans outside of America...the single IS getting released EVERYWHERE (even the countries where Chad's version already came out in) shortly after it's release here mid June! So you all will hopefully be getting a chance to hear it on the radio and see the video on TV soon! So, that's about all for now. I hope everyone is well and not too Calling deprived:) I'm so excited to get back on the road and play some new frikkin songs! I'll keep you all posted on what's going on in the next few weeks! Anyway, the songs for the new record are coming along great and I'm super excited to get in there and record (some day hopefully this century). Regarding the Santana thing which I know a lot of you have been asking about I can't say too much...but I do know that the single will be coming out next month (it's May now, weird). I'll be doing a bunch of TV performances with him, some of which I'm starting to find out about like Good Morning America in New York (in June) and possibly some live concert performances locally as well. As usual I'm guessing the fate of the song's release overseas is dependant upon it's success in America, but we all have pretty high hopes for this one since Chad Kroeger is a hit making machine. Hey guys! I just wanted to let you all know that I am not sending anyone a virus. I will never send any of you anything (except letters) to download, so please DO NOT download files that you get from my E-mail address. Hackers get into people's online address books and send everyone that has ever sent an Email or received an email from he or she a virus...if that makes sense. I don't understand why they do it, but it definitely sucks big time. I keep getting fan mail from people saying, "Why did you send me a virus, you are an asshole...." etc. :( So, just wanted to give you guys a heads up. All is going good over here in writing land. Unfortunately, "For You" did not perform well at US radio and is now on its way out. I just wanted to thank everyone for supporting the song, calling your local radio stations, voting for the video, etc. You all help out so much, but sometimes things just aren't meant to be. I really believed in the song and am proud of it no matter what. Other than that, all is going well and the writing for the record is very exciting and going great. Billy and Nate leave the band

Dear Calling Fans,

This will come as a shock to you all as it did for Aaron, Dino, and me but we were very recently informed that Billy and Nate have left the band. The rumors I have seen on the forums are so upsetting to us. Contrary to what you might hear by some very biased people, the situation was not in our hands. More so, this has been so hard to deal with because their decision was made before even speaking to us, putting us in an unusually pressured and tense situation. There isn’t a whole lot more to say other than we will continue on unscathed with our hearts high yet miss our friends and fellow band members a lot. I want to apologize on their behalf for letting you guys down, especially those of you with devoted sites to them (ie Katie Raskin the Sexy Nate super fan) and just loving them individually as people and great musicians. I will admit I am very upset but forever confident in knowing that The Calling is about its music and that we promise; will go unchanged. We so appreciate all of your understanding and support through this difficult time, but it will all turn out for the better. So for the rest of this year we will be going on through the home stretch of this record before we go back in to make the next one. We’re lining up new songs for a new record and with your support, preparing to make it bigger than the last! Can’t wait until we tour soon and get to play the favorites from Camino Palmero and an entire set of new material! Now let’s all wish them the best of luck in whatever it is they decide to do.
