-He is the leadsinger and co-songwriter for The Calling -He is 21 years old -His birthday is June 8, 1981 -He has a girlfriend and her name is Jennifer Sky -He is 5'10" -He has blue eyes -He has blonde hair -He has a tattoo of the Native American music god Kokopelli on his left wrist. It's the band's symbol. He got it when he was 14. -He has a scar under his left eye Music -He has been playing the guitar since he was 8 years old, the age when his mother left and moved to Germany. -He and Aaron were in a band called Generation Gap named for the various ages of the members. The bassist was 40 and the drummer was 58. Generation Gap toured throughout Southern California -He used to live next door to someone who worked at RCA, and he and Aaron would stick demo tapes in his mailbox. Hence, the band's name at first was Next Door -He was signed to RCA at 15 years old. He then dropped out of high school but finished through homeschooling. -His two favortie bands are Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews Band -He grew up listening to David Bowie, Led Zeppellin, Pink Floyd and The Beatles, bands that his parents listened to -"Stigmatized" and "Could it be any Harder" are his favorite tracks and the most personal to him on Camino Palmero -"Things Don't Always Turn Out That Way" is his least favorite - Bon Jovi was the first band Alex saw in concert - He likes the band Ours - His favorite cd is U2's Greatest Hits History -He grew up in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles on a street called "Camino Palmero" (street of the palms) -He met co-founder, Aaron, because his sister Taryn was dating Aaron -He appears in one of his father's movies called Puppet Master 2 -He didn't hang out with a lot of people his age during high school so he grew up pretty quickly. Not many of the guys liked him but in an interview, however, he says he thinks he dated most of the girls in his high school. Family -He has lived in 15 different houses in the same city. -He grew up with his Dad, stepmother, two half-brothers and his real sister. -He has an older sister named Taryn and two younger half-brothers, Harlan and Zalman -He has 5 half-brothers. Three of them live in Germany with his mother. -His dad is from Yugoslavia -His father, Charles Band, is a movie director and owns Full Moon Entertainment, a low-budget horror movie company -He has 2 cats named Six and Parigi, a three-legged cat (Killer died) -He is half Jewish -His family has a castle in Northern Italy. It's featured in one of his father's films Castle Freak -He spends his summers in Europe Random -His favorite movie is the 80s classic The Breakfast Club -He drives a red BMW M Coupe -He has a red Ducati 750 Monster motorcycle -His favorite colors are red and green -He says he likes to shop -He says he is addicted to video games, especially Playstation 2 -He likes gardening according to TRL -He says he is a huge fan of Who Wants to be a Millionare? -He likes to eat at Wendy's while on the road -He would like to meet Madonna -He likes to watch reruns of Beverly Hills 90210 -His favourite drink is Arnold Palmer. -He likes Popeye's chicken -His favorite type of food is Asian -His favorite candy is Sweettarts -He has a fetish about chewing gum while singing -His favorite kind of gum is Doublemint -He smokes but he's trying to quit -He likes Starbucks, especially their vanilla lattes -He is afraid of spiders -He likes the show Jeopardy.
