The First ISDEV Graduate Conference

OBJEKTIF

OBJECTIVE

Di Institusi Pengajian Tinggi (IPT) di Malaysia sekarang terdapat ramai calon siswazah, sama ada di peringkat Sarjana atau Doktor Falsafah, di dalam aliran Sains atau Sastera, yang melakukan penyelidikan yang berkaitan dengan Islam.

In Malaysia nowadays, there are many graduate students in higher education institutions (HEI), either pursuing the Master degree or the Doctor of Philosophy degree, in the field of sciences or arts, who are conducting researches on topics related to Islam.

Persidangan Siswazah ISDEV I berhasrat mengumpul seramai mungkin siswazah ini untuk membentang dan berwacana tentang kajian masing-masing serta membina jaringan dan kerjasama berterusan, baik di dalam bidang pengajian Islam sendiri atau di dalam bidang-bidang ilmu semasa seumpama pembangunan, pengurusan, ekonomi, perundangan, politik, alam sekitar dan lain-lain daripada pelbagai aliran, sama ada Sains atau Sastera.

The main objective of The First ISDEV Graduate Conference is to gather as many graduate students as possible to present and exchange ideas on their ongoing researches as well as to establish meaningful networking and cooperation among the graduate students, be it in the field of Islamic Studies or other contemporary fields of knowledge such as development, management, economics, law, politics, environment, and many others from various perspectives, either the sciences or the arts.

Persidangan ini diharap akan menjadi acara tahunan ISDEV agar hubungan antara siswazah ini berterusan dan perkembangan penyelidikan mereka dapat diikuti dengan sebaiknya.

It is hoped that the Graduate conference such as this will become one of ISDEV’s annual events so that with such a mechanism in place, the networking and cooperation among graduate students will continue to grow from time to time, where such developments will positively contribute to the progress of their own researches in their own respective academic programs.

PARTICIPANTS

1. Calon-calon siswazah di semua IPT yang sedang menjalani pengajian di peringkat Sarjana atau Doktor Falsafah dan melakukan penyelidikan berkaitan Islam di dalam apa jua bidang, sama ada di dalam aliran Sastera atau Sains.

1. Graduate students from all higher education institutions (HEI) who are currently pursuing degrees at the Master’s level or the Doctor of Philosophy, and are doing researches on topics related to Islam in whatever field of study, either in the Sciences or in the Arts.

2. Para siswazah yang baru sahaja menyelesaikan pengajian mereka yang berkaitan dengan Islam di dalam apa jua bidang, sama ada di dalam aliran Sastera atau Sains, paling lama dalam sekitar setahun yang lepas.

2. Graduate students who have already completed their studies in areas related to Islam in whatever field of study, either in the Sciences or in the Arts, preferably not more than about a year ago from the date of the conference.

3. Para penyelia, pensyarah dan mereka yang berminat.

3. Thesis supervisors, lecturers, and any interested persons.

Kumpulan peserta 1 dan 2 boleh menulis dan membentangkan kertaskerja masing-masing, tetapi mestilah secara bersendirian dan tidak bersama penyelia atau orang lain. Kumpulan peserta 3 tidak dibenarkan menulis dan membentangkan kertaskerja.

Group 1 and Group 2 participants are invited to write papers for presentation at the conference with the condition that the submitted papers are written by the students themselves, and not in collaboration with their supervisors or some other persons.

ABSTRACT AND WORKING PAPER

Gunakan MS Word huruf Times New Roman bersaiz 11, single spacing. Abstrak jangan melebihi 300 perkataan dan kertaskerja jangan melebihi 15 halaman.

Use only MS Word with Times New Roman font, font size of 11, and single spacing. The abstract should not contain more than 300 words and the working paper should not exceed 15 pages.

Di bawah abstrak nyatakan bidang kajian, tahap pengajian (Sarjana atau Doktor Falsafah), alamat penuh institusi pengajian, alamat e-mel, nombor talipon dan nombor faks.

Please include together with the abstract the following items: Full name of the author of the working paper, field of research, degree program (Masters or Doctor of Philosophy), full address of the academic institution, e-mail address, telephone number and fax number.

Abstrak yang sampai kepada penganjur selepas tarikh akhir tidak akan dimasukkan ke dalam buku abstrak. Peserta yang tidak menyerahkan kertaskerja sebelum tarikh akhir tidak akan dibenarkan membuat pembentangan.

Abstracts which are received by the organizer after the final dateline will not be included in the booklet of conference abstracts. Participants whose working papers are not received before the final dateline will not be allowed to make presentation at the conference.

Peserta dikehendaki mengakses dan mencetak sendiri kertaskerja-kertaskerja dari laman web Persidangan sebelum datang ke Persidangan. Kata laluannya akan diberitahu melalui e-mel sebaik sahaja yuran pendaftaran diterima Urusetia Persidangan.

Participants are encouraged to access the Conference website in order to print the required copies of the conference papers before coming to the Conference. The necessary password to access the referred website will be sent to the participants via e-mail as soon as the registration fee is received by the Conference Secretariat.

Kertaskerja yang tinggi mutunya akan diterbitkan di dalam bentuk buku.

A selected number of working papers which are of publishable quality, will be edited, compiled, and published in a book form.
