RAH is a reaing program that was develped in order to help students improve their reading level, which in turn also increases their enjoyment of reading.  In middle school one of the state's reading standards focuses on students attaining the goal of reading at least a million words.  In class students were each given and shown how to complete their daily RAH sheet in order to track how many words they have read throughout the year.  It is very important that students and parents take part in our RAH program.  It has been shown that the students who read more also go onto have a higher reading level.

Students should be reading at least 30 minutes a night and recording thier effort.

Remember, if one doesn't understand a particular word when reading, please find the meaning of the word in a dictionary in order to create a clearer picture (VISUALIZATION) and understanding of what is being read.
