Knitwear Club Knitwear Club is a venue for knitwear entrepreneurs and connected professionals of Ludhiana, a city of knitwear, to meet and discuss their common technical and commercial problems. This club was started in year 1987 under the auspices of 'Knitwear Facility'; a UNDP aided project to provide technical assistance and training to the knitting and allied industrial units. The club is a registered body and has 350 active members representing various segments of the knitwear industry. The members of the club elect its President and Executive body after every two years. This Club is a sole representative body of knitting industry of Ludhiana. The club conducts various seminars and training programme for the benefit of industry personnel. The club further promoted a 'Wool Club', which is an association of Wool Mark licensees. Wool Club has acted an effective safeguard against misuse of Wool Mark labels by unscrupulous manufacturers.
