It is easily removed for welding by lightly heating the area first, thereby allowing the product to melt away.

The cleared surface remaining has been found to assist the welding operation.

"GOLD SEAL RUSTPROOF" is quite difficult to ignite, but requires the normal caution applied to petroleum products.
