HOME - 12/16/04 Alright! More show updates… Nothing this weekend because of the silverstien/fullblast show that everyone’s going to. However, we have two shows next week to make up for that! We’re playing at the Pic-a-deli in Oakville on the 21st, as previously posted, however, we are now back onto the 23rd bill, as of now, that is. And we’re hoping all of you can come out to support us, we have a really late set 10:30, so we’re gunna need everyone to come stick it out. Lots of good bands (White Elephant and Only Still) so it’ll be a good time. PS- the 23rd has been dubbed "Crazy Hat Night" so wear the greatest thing you’ve got and have a good time! Peace, love, and half naked men Chris
12/06/04 WOHH!!! Two updates in one week!!! Ok, I’ve got a few things to update now… I have to correct some of the dates from my last update, which I doubt anyone saw. So we will be playing the following dates and not the ones previously posted Dec 11 – Moe’s Tavern in Waterdown… CD RELEASE!Dec. 18 – The Vatican in T.O (ask irish for directions)Dec. 21 – The Pic-a-deli in Oakville (acoustic songwriter’s showcase) Jan. 28 – The Vatican in T.O (probably going to change…) That’s all… Chris - 12/01/04 Wiggity-what’s up dudes! It would be awesome if I could say I updated this site regularly, but sadly, this is not true… Okay, so since the last time I posted, we’ve made some magic in the studio that you can now own for the small price of Five Dollars. "An Ode to the Lonely" which we recorded in Mississauga under the guiding hand of producer Vikas Kohli @ Fatlabs studio is a 4 track adventure through the many detentions of ROCK. 19:30 of dream worthy music that is bound to blow the classical music out of your butt! Sadly, we haven’t been able to book a date to release this thing, but because we need some cash, we’ll be selling it at all our shows. …Speaking of shows… We’ve got a few dates lined up and a bunch more on the way… We’ll be playing an acoustic set at the Pic-a-deli’s in oakville on the 21st. It’s nothing to exciting, but if ur into all that singer/songwriter voice and guitar sort of stuff come check it out, there’s a lot of talent to be heard. We are also playing at Moose-knuckle’s in B-Town on the 23rd! It’s a big Christmas party thing so come check it out. We’re playing with Onlystill and White Elephant. And for the second year in a row we’ll be playing the Notre Dame Christmas Assembly. If you go to ND come check us out. We’ll be the half-naked one’s playing emo-rock… That’s all for now… Chris - 10/09/04 Hey goons! I just thought I’d update everyone on the up and coming events. We’ll be hitting up the studio on the 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th of this month, and the result will be our six song EP "An Ode to the Lonely." It will be available for you to own around November, and we’re hoping to have our CD release party then too. The cover art should be in the media page soon. And in other news… we have some good pals in a band called Stockton ( www.stock-ton.tripod.com) they are a kick-ass grunge/punk band from good old burly-town and they’re looking for a singer. Check out the site, and contact them that way, or I’ll post an e-mail address here where you can get a hold of the guys. That’s all for now… Catch ya on the flip-flop Chris - 9/22/04 Hey! Lots of new stuff for you guys to know… To start, I’d like to thank everyone who came out to see us play at Irish’s last weekend. The band had an awesome time playing for everyone, and we appreciate the support. Keep signing the book! Also, there’s gunna be some more songs up on the media page soon, some full band stuff. As of right now, we just need to put drums to Asphalt Ashtray, Hazardous, and Ode to the Lonely, then we’ll be good to go. I might put an acoustic version of Life up before then, I just have to make sure it’s good enough to put up here. Alright, well as you may know, we found a producer over the summer who wants to get us into his studio and record our first EP. His name is Vikas, and he runs FatLabs studios ( www.fatlabs.com) we’ll be recording 6 songs hopefully, and we plan on having them out by the end of October. All of you should pick it up!Keep on truckin’ Chris - 8/15/04 Hello, and welcome to the new site! The members of Mourning Dawns have changed their name, and their out-look on the way they play their music. Though most of the material will be carried over, we have written two new songs as well as resurrected an old one for a rock-a-licious live show that we’ll be taking to the streets very soon We’re also hoping to record very soon, if we don’t get studio time within the next little while we’ll just do a little number onto my computer so you guys can hear what the newer stuff will sound like. Those songs that we are keeping from Mourning Dawns will be changed slightly. Irish will be playing acoustic sometimes, when he isn’t singing, to give those ballads the warmth and goodness you just come to expect from that European Wonder. Come back in a few days, and hopefully we’ll have the rest of the site up and running, and if you’re lucky, there will be some new songs showing up on the media page. Peace! Chris |
