The Epic of Dalen Grey

"Ondre, I need information."

"What kind of information are you looking for?"

"Someone put a bounty on my head, I need to know who did it."

"Turned to a life of crime Dalen? I knew I was having a positive affect on you."

"I did nothing wrong."

"I haven't yet met a criminal that said he was guilty."

"I think it has something to do with me interferring with the gangs in this town."

"Did I have a bounty on my head."

"Not that I know of Ondre."

"I must be losing my touch. You must have been causing alot of trouble lately, and you didn't think to invite me."

"Can you help me?"

"I know a few people I can talk too. Its gonna cost about twenty drakers I think."

"What is it that you do with my money?"

"Its a trade secret Dalen. This is the price of information."

"Twenty drakers, don't let me down."

"This might take me all day, don't wait up for me."

He left the house without so much as another word. He came through for me in the past and I trust him alittle more each day. If I can or can not trust him, I still need to know who is after me. If I don't take a few risks today, I might end up dead tomorrow and thats part of my plan.

For a whole day, I stood guard. I barely even peeked out the door. I don't want to be noticed on the streets or ambushed in my home. Spending the day indoors is about as boring as a day can get. I realise that throwing daggers is not my talent. I practice and I still don't get any better. At least Ondre gets use out of my target.

I did something I haven't done in a very long time. I sat in a meditation form I learn from my thwen dietch training. I don't remember ever liking the instructions I got. I might have Just hated the teacher. I learned many techniques and methods, but I never really understood the point of it. I was bored and needed some mental focus, I don't think I have much else to do.
