Agate makes up a large part of the Chalcedony family with many varieties of color and
properties. One of my first crystals ever, this Moss Agate pendant and I have been down the road to enlightenment together for some time now. It has taught me patience
and strength over the years, and has yet to be designed into a necklace because I prefer to
use it in therapy. The veins running through these stones that give them their mossy quality
are not actually moss, but chlorite and manganese oxide strips called �dendrites,� coming
from the Greek word for tree, dendron.
Moss Agate has a very grounding energy, perfect for this transition into Taurus, a
month of hard work and diligence. It brings self-esteem and emotional balance while
banishing forgetfulness. this stone for heightened intensity. |

A very balancing stone, Moss Agate helps with left and right
brain imbalances that can cause depression, while helping the intellectual mind accept the
intuitive senses. Equally it will also help intuitive people think more practically.
Because of its earthen qualities, Moss Agate is very beneficial for agriculture, promoting
new growth and even agreeable weather. The Native American tribes used Moss Agate as
a cloud buster with Turquoise. Its bond with Mother Earth infiltrates our energy body when
used as a touchstone or worry stone, bringing us closer to our physical and intuitive selves.
In health, Moss Agate has been used for dehydration, eye disorders, hypoglycemia, fungal
infections, digestion, colds and flu, and as an elixir for skin disorders. I have personally had
success with it for my own psoriasis by putting the stone, after cleansing, into my bottle of water.

One of my favorite crystals is Blue Lace Agate, loved for its swirled beauty and dreamy qualities, this stone is truly one to have in your �medicine cabinet!� Used to activate the higher four chakras, this sky blue stone generates love for the heart chakra, clear and truthful communication for the throat chakra, inspiration for the third eye chakra, and ease into higher frequency for the crown chakra. This powerful activation effect brings a heightened state of awareness for inner attunement. |

In clearing and activating these chakras, Blue Lace also brings health, clearing throat problems, swollen glands, thyroid regulation, headaches, and general stress. It is also said to help with arthritis.
One of my favorite techniques with Blue Lace Agate is as a water infusion for drinking during social settings. Infuse your communal water supply with a few of these stones (clearing them and setting intentions first!) and see how your guests are affected by the positivity! See if confrontations and emotional outbursts diminish (especially great for children)! You can also try this for enhanced public speaking, telephone communication, leadership retreats or meetings and for eliminating stress during any of these.
Last, these blue beauties can be used very successfully to calm extremely vocal pets. If you find one that can be used as a pendant around Fido�s collar, this will help eliminate excessive barking, but the stones can also be placed in their water dish or under the pillows of your pet�s bed.

The name Azurite comes from the Latin word for blue, the color which in the metaphysical world stands for meditation and communication, and this stone is for just that. In addition to using Azurite for colored dyes, the Egyptians used this powerful stone for divination, as it improves communication with the spirit world and assists with pursuit of the heavenly self. It is a natural aligning stone for the chakras, removing blocks against progress, self confidence, and creativity. Photographing this stone does it no justice; its deep blue swirl of color pulls your eyes inward and relaxes you almost instantly. The Dumortierite stone that I have is a squarish yet rounded �worry-stone� shape that I rub when I need to relax. Used to reduce excitability and to eliminate stubbornness, Dumortierite brings patience with strength to accept any challenge and bring you to your highest potential.
Dumortierite is also of the 6th (third eye) chakra group of blue stones, bridging the 5th (throat) and 6th chakras and allowing for ease in verbalization of spiritual ideas. |

FALL is the time for clearing; clearing out the house, clearing the emotions, and clearing the mind and body. SELENITE is one of the most clearing stones in our mineral kingdom. During all my sessions I use this Selenite wand to clear the room and clear my client. Many have said they can feel the Selenite move over their chakras, even with their eyes closed, and feel it pulling strands of negativity out of their chakras like metal threads being pulled towards a magnet. It's therefore no wonder that Selenite also clears metals from the body! Melody states that "Selenite has been proven to provide the amelioration of disorders associated with poisoning due to the metals in the fillings of the teeth."
Also good for the spine, Selenite aligns the spinal column and removes energy blockages, smoothing out the general flow of energy through the body. In turn, this release brings flexibility in the muscles as well.

Purple is one of the most magical colors in the stone kingdom; representative of the highest physical chakras and the most enlightened states of auras, purple has been regarded for centuries as a truly spiritual color.
Three of the most influential purple stones in for our benefit are these; known for very different healing properties, yet all affecting the vibration of the planet similarly as they reach the hands of many gem and crystal lovers. All well-used for headaches, backaches, and heartaches, these three stones are not only confused for their looks, but also for their healing powers. Triplets if you will, these stones will only magnify in intensity if used together!
Charoite, known as �The stone of this age,� is a deeply spiritual stone, affecting the world with its One Love attitude and likening the minds of the crystal children being born into this world now. Embodying �From Russia with Love,� Charoite �provides for a synthesis between heart and crown chakras, combining the higher spiritual dimensions with unconditional love� according to Melody. A serious stone for clearing, Charoite will wipe the slate clean, removing negative energies from the chakras, aura, and spirit of the user.
Stichtite, the most reddish-purple of these stones is actually more of a heart chakra stone than a crown chakra one, and can come in colors as light as rose-pink. One of the most magical stones in the kingdom, Sugilite has been said to heal all forms of dis-ease while strengthening the inherent healing power of its user. Recently discovered in only one region of South Africa, Sugilite truly is helping to raise the vibration of the planet, opening chakras backwards- from the crown to the root- and is an excellent remedy for all high-chakra ailments such as headaches and clarity issues. Most effectively clearing the heart chakra, Sugilite is for awakening total love and compassion. I don�t know anyone who isn�t immediately attracted to the power of this stone! |
