Education, quality education, should be a right guaranteed to everyone that desires it. Especially in the United States, the “richest” country in the world, where there are enough resources to fund free, top-quality education from pre-school level to the completion of a 4 year degree to every citizen, education should be easily accessed. Unfortunately, that is not what we see in the US. A lot of people have said that quality education in the US has become a privilege rather than a right that only a certain few have access to. In fact, as the historical truths and analyses of this section of the website will show, the educational system has been used, a lot of times intentionally, to enhance the knowledge of some and deteriorate the abilities of others, therefore creating a society of haves and have-nots, mainly in the form of white or European descendants for the first, and black or African descendants for the latter.
