The radiator capcacity is the same but is much wider and deeper. The rad support in F/J/M body mopars to hold the rad closer to the engine. Since the B/RB is longer you will need to trim this piece from each side of the rad support to make clearance between the rad and the fan. Also with this trimmed away, the 28 inch rad will have its entire front exposed to air. You will need to drill new mounting holes into the rad support. When selecting a radiator from a wrecking yard, look to see if it has fluid in it and scheck the color. If it is brown, the coolant has not been changed in many years. This is also sign of heavy corrosion. Select one that still has green fluid. Have it pressure checked by a rad shop who can also flush and clean the radiator. They can tell you safely the life expectancy of the old radiator. |
