| Virtual Card Ideas The following "dream cards" were thought up by me and are not spoilers of any sort, however, I grant the SWCCG Player's Committee complete and total access (and credit for) any cards on here. That is to say, that if they like an idea or card text listed here, I transfer my ownership of any intellectual properties of card designs on this page over to them at no cost whatsover. So basically, if the PC wants to make one (or any) of these cards, they are free to do so I will not throw a fit or any of that stuff: I just think they are good ideas and want to see this game continued. Further, if any players want to 'virtualize' their cards using these ideas for causal play, that's also fine with me. Feedback and card ideas are completely welcome. Thank you, Indy Once again - the Player's Committee is COMPLETELY free and welcome to use any of the ideas on this page!!!! |
| FEATURED CARD From time to time I might have a great idea that I think would make an absolutely great, fun and interesting card, so I'll put it here so that it doesn't get mixed in with all of the other card ideas on the page. Usually the card featured here is the one I would most like to see made. Luke Skywalker, Rebel Scout (V) (Reflections II... DS II Icon) POWER 6 ABILITY 6 JEDI KNIGHT Deploy 5, Forfeit 9 Immediately \/ Jedi Test 6, targeting Luke (even if a Jedi). For remainder of game: Jedi Tests are suspended (not lost) while Luke not at a battleground; Luke may only be captured by Vader; Force generation at Luke's site may not be canceled; may not force drain at non-battlegrounds. Immune to attrition < 5. There Is Good In Him: (Death Star II) Deploy Chief Chirpas Hut, I Feel The Conflict and You Must Confront Vader (uncompleted and targeting Luke). For remainder of game, your Jedi Tests target Luke (even if a Jedi), and are suspended (not lost) while Luke not at a battleground site. You may not play Obi-Wan or Yoda, or any [Episode I] Jedi. You may \/ Leia (-2). Opponent may \/ Vader (-2) or deploy him from Lost Pile. Flip this card if Luke completes Jedi Test 6. I Can Save Him: While this side up, Anakin Skywalker may play be played any time Luke is present with Vader, even as a non-frozen captive (Luke need not be "about to be lost") and you may only utilize game text of your Jedi Tests where you have a Skywalker. If Anakin on table, you may place him out of play; your total power in battles where you have a Skywalker is +5. Once per turn you may exchange a Skywalker from hand with one from your Lost Pile. Okay, the idea behind this card is simple: make a playable version of what Decipher had intended. It is a coutnerpart to Bring Him Before Me that is actually playable and it has a twist of its own: you can use Anakin! It starts off in a very similar fashion as Bring Him Before Me: a twix, I Feel The Conflict, and a card similar to Your Destiny. The Jedi Test works as a perfect counterpart to Your Destiny: while Luke is at a battleground and Vader not, the opponent must lose 2 Force. The "For remainder of game text" basically just lets the opponent pull Vader much in the same way BHBM lets you pull Luke (it's the only fair way), however instead of pulling an ability 7 character like BHBM does, I thought that it would be more appropriate to have it pull the other Skywalker, Leia. She can even help add an icon like Palpatine does if you decided to use Daughter of Skywalker. The restriction on no Yoda or Obi-Wan was put in there for storyline and balance: Luke must confront Vader alone, without their help. Also, it seemed to strong to be able to beatdown a just deployed Vader with EPP Obi, EPP Leia, and the crew, and then use I Can't Believe He's Gone (especially with the flip side of the objective). After Luke does Confront Vader, you flip your Objective, and then the fun begins. It features the same concept as the original objective does (convert Vader) however it's not nearly as hard to pull off (especially considering that you will have at least 1 card on I Feel The Conflict via You Must Confront Vader); accordingly it's reward is not as great (no auto-loss for the opponent, although they would lose 6 Force to Anakin Skywalker), however you finally get to use and battle with Darth Va... err Anakin Skywalker. (How cool would it be to deploy Anakin's Lightsaber on Anakin? Now that's classic!) Also, because Test 6's text is so good, I limited it's use to only where you have a Skywalker for balance purposes - it makes sense that the Skywalkers would battle better after Luke confronted his father (incidently, it can serve as a mini-Emperor's Power). Also, if Anakin does give himself up to the Light Side of the Force, he will help his offspring become more powerful than anyone could possibly imagine (so long as no one can imagine anyone power +5). I really like the idea of using Test 6 and Anakin Skywalker. It seems to storyline and very strong (although by the limitations placed on it by the objective, it is certainly not broken). I mean after you confront Vader, you can convert Vader. My main goal was to make TIGIH playable, fun, interactive, and make sense story-line wise. I think that this card captures my goals rather well, and I would LOVE to see the PC make this card (or a version thereof). Also, I think it makes an appropriate counterpart to Bring Him Before Me as well as a very playable and interactive deck in classic (Battle of Endor was a fun tournament scenario - I'd love to play in one of those with this deck!). So, feel free to drop me a line on what you think about his card along with any possible improvements to it. Thanks for your time, and PC if you're listening, why don't you throw There Is Good In Him a bone? And while you're at it, you'd be helping out Anakin Skywalker and Twilight Is Upon Me, too. (The point of V-cards was to make new cards that are playable, yet also try to keep part of the orginial intent of the virtualized card - I think that this accomplishes those goals and would be fun as heck.) If you're eyes aren't burning after reading this, feel free to take a look at my other V-Card ideas, which, once again, I grant the PC authority to use in any way, shape or form. |
V-Card ideas: This set of ideas revolves around the "Legendary Foursome" cards found in Endor and Death Star II, exceptthese versions are playable. Firstly, they don't need the previous one to be on table in order to work; they function so long as I Wonder Who They Found is on table. They provide character specific and game-wide benifits that make playing with these cards worth it. Also, I chose to make I'm With You Too into a Phantom Menace-type card. Maul is such a bad-ass with that on table, I figure that the LS should get one too, and this seemed like the logical card to make it out of. I Wonder Who They Found (Endor) Deploy on Han or any location. Once per turn may /\ Thats One, Count Me In, Our Only Hope, or Insertion Planning. When deploying to same or related location, your scouts may use all negative deployment modifiers listed in their game text. [A] This card would essentially allow you to use the Endor version of the mains off planet. It'd be a nice solution to the current trend that the PC wants to take: moving away from EPPs. Well, if you want us to move away from EPPs, at least let us use the 'beefed up' versions of the mains! I'd defintely swap out my EPPs if I could use General Solo, DoS, CoK and Jedi Luke off of Endor without paying a fortune. This card would increase the deck types out there by quite a bit because the character base would be increased. Even if the other Legendary Foursome cards aren't V-ed, this card alone would make be pretty happy. Thats One (Endor) Deploy on Chewie. His weapon destiny draws are +1. If a scout, he is immune to attrition < his power and defense value +1. If I Wonder Who They Found on table, once per game may take one Defensive Shield into hand from underneath your Starting Effect. [A] Count Me In (Endor) Deploy on Leia. Your Epic Event destiny draws are +2 each. If Leia a scout, once per turn may \/ a battleground location to related planet. If I Wonder Who They Found on table, you may play Defensive Shields in response to an interrupt just played. [A] Our Only Hope (Death Star II) USED: If Luke in battle and I Wonder Who They Found on table you may either add one battle destiny or prevent the opponent from drawing more than one battle destiny (Immune to Sense and being grabbed). LOST: If you are about to forfeit or lose a scout, place that scout in your Used Pile. Immune to being grabbed because it's harder to pull off then Command, so it should have an added benefit of some sort) Im With You Too (Death Star II) Deploy on table. If Luke of ability > 5 in battle, may draw two battle destiny if unable to otherwise. While Luke of ability > 5 present with a Dark Jedi, he is immune to attrition and defense value +2. Place Effect in Used Pile if Luke lost from table. [A] Luke (Premiere 2-player Game) Power 3 Ability 4 Deploy 2 Forfeit 6 Once per turn, may /\ Owen Lars, Harvest or Moisture Farm. Each time you play Harvest it is placed out of play. Luke is power +X and you may add X to you total battle destiny in all battles, where X = number of Harvests out of play. Immune to attrition < X + 1. Obi-Wan Kenobi (Premiere) Deploy 4 During your control phase, use 1 Force to /\ any card with Obi-Wan(s) in title. May place Obi-Wan out of play to cancel a battle or duel involving Luke or Leia at same or adjacent site. Ponda Baba lost at same site. Immune to attrition < 4 (< 6 if Luke on table).
