Reasons for doing the MST on Touch by Random 1337: Really, I have nothing against Random and I've read a lot of his work and thought it was great. With Touch though, he did something that I cannot easily forgive. Not only did he pair Shinji and Rei, which is not my preference but something I can live with, but he paired Asuka and Toji. This sickened me and when I reached the part where they had sex in the hospital I was nearly sick. I stopped reading the fic and went on to read something more pleasant, like a Shinji x Asuka fic. Around mid way through July, 2002, I was contemplating writing MSTs when I read a really shit fic on FF.net. Realizing that paying that out was going to be too easy I decided to look for a more well read fic that I had something against. It was then that decided I should reread Touch. |
