Post 05 - 13/10/02 (Sunday) Ok, I updated NGE: Reincarnation Chapter 01. It's been posted on Fanfiction.net and a few other places. I also posted a 2,000 word chapter of a fic called Punishment Leads to Growth on Fanfiction.net. It was the beginning of the fic I was gonna enter in Ryoma's contest but it only got that far. It'll only go ahead if people say they want me to continue. Ideas for other fics are still coming to me and once I find the time I'll start writing some first chapters. That's about it, Marzee Post 04 - 07/10/02 (Monday) Well, the idea of updating every Monday seems to have gone out of the window. Sorry 'bout that. I'm slack and school got hard at the end of term and now today is the last day of the holidays. Now all I have is 6 weeks and I've finished school. Yeah!!! Anyway, I sent the latest version of NGE: Reincarnation Chapter 01 to my editors to look over. Then when they send me back stuff I'll fix it up and post it on the EFML, Fanfiction.net, apply for Evafics.org and post a thing about it at Darkscribes.org. So, in about a week I should have a final version of it on the net. Until then I have no reason to update anything else for now. The Ikari Charm has been left alone for awhile and I should probably look into doing Chapter 04 of that. Perhaps I should start a new fic too. Since I only have tests for most subjects after the first week, I won't be so busy with school. A few hours a night should pull it off and I'm working on an original anime called Spirit Battleground - The Realm of Terror, although I won't actually start writing the chapters for awhile. After school finishes I'll look into doing work on the info sections more too. Later, Marzee Post 03 - 13/08/02 (Tuesday) Well, the most obvious change in the site is the color of the links, etc. Below is a quick guide: Text - An Active Link Text - A Inactive Link, which isn't linked to anything because I haven't finished the page it links to. Text - The current page you're on Text - Normal text Hopefully this is a better combination and suites in the black background more. I've added a link in the Other Stuff section (see left) that is titled Other Info. The information I'm going to put in there will be research that will help others, as well as myself, write about things in fics with more knowledge. As an example, I plan to find some information on the education structuring in Japan to help out those who want to put the Children through college, etc. Also stuff like basic Japanese meals, lifestyle and perhaps a bit on the language for those who want to learn the basics, which is what I'm doing at the moment. Check it out for a full list of topics I want to explore. Once again, another thing added to the to do list. The Eva Info section has been started, although there is little info there at the moment. The section is meant to provide writers with accurate information that they can use in their fics. If there's something you think I should add, e-mail me. For anyone who noticed the change in names of the 5th and 6th fics in the fics section, there are a couple of reasons. The fic named Inspector Asuka has been dumped for the time being. In all honesty, it was a warped idea but it may come back out later. It was to be a murder mystery. The fic, which was once going to be called Shinji Scores, has had a title change to Growing Up due to a change in focus and direction during planning. It's based in the Episode 26 alternate universe and starts just as Shinji is about to finish high school. Going Away to College (shortened on the left) is a new idea that I had and it replaced Inspector Asuka on the to do list. It's an alternate universe fic, with no Eva, focusing around a normal Shinji, meaning he has a mom and everything, halfway through his first year of college when a new student comes to Japan from Germany. I've also added a page to display all my projects. This includes all my fics that I'm working on plus my school assignments and other stuff. It's like a progress indicator, I guess. Any fic that I'm working on, even if it is the smallest idea and I'm just jotting down the odd note here and there, will be here along with an indication of progress. So if you want to know what I'm doing at the moment, this is the best place to find it. With NGE: Reincarnation, I have planned up to Chapter 5 and have began to rework the entire fic. The first chapter should be out in the next few weeks (after a bit more planning and finalizing). I'm also going to enter Ryoma's fanfic contest to see if I can win myself a DVD, or two if I'm lucky ;). Just entering should give me a better readership and that's an important factor. I can't tell you the title cause that would ruin the whole favoritism thing :(. As a final note, I will be updating the site every Monday from now on. So if you're interested to see what I've changed, come back each Monday. Sorry I didn't fix the links sooner> Hmmm... had parent / teacher interviews on Tuesday. What does this have to do with Fanfiction? Well, everything and nothing all at the same time. According to my teachers I have the chance to lift all my marks (3 of which are Cs that I might get into the Bs). Now, back on topic, this added work load to improve my marks will take away some of my writing time. On another note, I'm not actually writing all that much at the moment. Instead I'm plotting NGE: Reincarnation and when that's finished I'll rewrite the first two chapters then continue. I'm looking to make this really good and the ACCs that I'm bringing in are going to be well planed so don't worry about that too much. I went to the QUT (Queensland University of Technology) Open Day on Sunday with two friends and spent most of the day in Brisbane. Damn comic shops didn't have the 4th collection of the manga, and I was not happy. I bought two CDs, The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP, by Eminem. So we listened to them on the train home. Brain damage... hmmm, funny. I've been working on the design of the 3rd Angel for NGE: Reincarnation. Next time I should at least have a draft pic of it to post. I think I'm going to skip planning TIC too much and just go with the flow. At the worst I can later use it as an example of what happens if you don't plan :). I posted the 3rd chapter (Who goes to School on Their Birthday?) and the 4th chapter (The Party) should be out within the next few weeks. The 5th chapter (Dreams) will upgrade the rating to NC-17. Should be interesting to see what the characters dream about. If you don't like lemons you should just skip the chapter. Next time I might also post some pages on the way I'm currently planning and some writing checklists to help out people who are looking for guides. Anyone who thinks I'm a crap writer is probably right at the moment but I'm working on it and hopefully I'll impress a few people with the rewritten chapters of NGE: Reincarnation. Hopefully... The first chapter of the Touch MST is proceeding nicely and should be complete by next time. In case you were wondering, it involves me and Asuka going to the movies (Note: As friends, nothing else because if I wrote anything about a sick, perverted dream of me and Asuka I would keep it to myself) :). Anyway... Asuka becomes violently ill, I argue with the popcorn guy and there is even some of Random's writing in there somewhere. Should be funny and it also includes some cameo appearances by other NGE cast. Well, that's about it. I'm glad to announce that I recently bought all the manga collections except for No. 4, in English, while in Brisbane. Ok, how to use this site. As you can see to the left of your screen there is a column of a table that has some links, in blue, that you can use to access my fics. Click on the one you want to look at and you will be presented with another page like this with some links at the top pf the page that will allow you to see all of the stuff I have done on that fic. Any fic with a (p) next to it indicates that there is only one chapter, a preview, of the fic and it will be continued if people like the idea or shelved if not. A number in parenthesis next a fic - e.g. (2) - indicates how many chapters have been posted of that fic. If a (c) is present it means the fic has been completed. Anything that's in purple will be a link once I get off my ass and finish (or start in some cases) whatever it links to. Until then it will probably just annoy you. As I'm sure you noticed, this page is rather basic and I even used FrontPage to make it. I really don't have the time to make this all fancy but I might be able to fix it up a bit next holidays.
