FOCUS

       I think that the Christian's youths, everywhere, need to grow more in Christ instead of growing more in sins. Through out this year, I would like for the Youths to be able to focus toward God. For those that examines the bible knows for a fact that the world today is at the last ages. We can see it around us, KNOWLEDGE INCREASED Daniel 12:4 (look at the tecnology world that surround us every day), WARS (look at the news each day of wars and rumors of wars), FAMINES (look at parts of Africa, Russia, China where people eat dirts to try to keep them alive), PESTILENCES (look at the Antrax, bio chemical weapons, and MORE), EARTHQUAKES (look at Japan, Western US, Southern America which many people have died because of earthquakes) Matthew 24:3-7 and look also at 2 Timothy 3:1-9, where at the last days people will be LOVERS of THEMSELVES, LOVERS of MONEY, BOASTFUL (self-bragging), PROUD, ABUSIVE, DISOBEDIENT to PARENTS, UNGRATEFUL, UNHOLY, WITHOUT LOVE, UNFORGIVING, SLANDEROUS (harmful facts that are often untrue), DO NOT HAVE SELF-CONTROL, BRUTAL(cruelty, or killing innocents without having a heart), NOT LOVERS of the GOOD, TREACHEROUS (being unfaithful), RASH (Marked by unthinking boldness; with defiant disregard for danger or consequences), CONCEITED (having an exaggerated sense of self-importance that are often untrue), LOVERS of PLEASURES rather than LOVERS of GOD, and more. Just look all around you youths... All of these have happened and not many are putting any thoughts that the last days are here. Look at 1 Timothy 4:1, in later times some will abondon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. The time is here my friends, false prophet shall arise Matthew 24:11,23-27, saying that he is the son of god, he too will also speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the law Daniel 7:25. Look at the medias, televisions, radio stations, musics, megasines, news, internet sites and even in our neighborhood. I'm afraid that most of us youths are loosing the battle.
       This is the reason I post this, so that youths can stand up, repent the sins that we have committed and never again do it. Turn your-self to face the face of God, surrender yourself and then show your faith to friends, co workers, strangers or anyone around you. Friends, there are many youths that are in need of knowing about God and His love and all you need to do is to Ask God for His help and wisdom so that you may be able to Share it with others around you. I would also ask the parents in Christ to spend their time to help the youths. To have us, to focus our mind and body to help Him, our Jesus Christ, who have died on the cross just to save us, and others and who have given up His life, as a living sacrifice, so that all of us, you and me, may be able to see how much the love of Jesus is for us. Put our FOCUS on God, and He will change your live. He sure have changed mine.

       This is the page made especially for the youths of the Indonesian-American Seventh Day Adventist Church of Colorado. This page is basically the program that informs the youths to do what they are assigned to do for the AY (Adventist Youth) Program. If the participant is unable to carry the tasks because of some apparent reason(s) than he or she may inform the youth leader or the assistant leader, my self who is also a Sabbath School teacher for the Youth Class about the inability of performing on the AY Program. Please inform us at least two days before the Sabbath, so the program may be changed ahead of time. If there are drastic changes that need to take place at that Sabbath, than we will inform the youths of IASDAC of Colorado. Thank You.

AGENDA / ANNOUNCEMENTS

       For our Adventist Youth, the church board have finally chose our Adventist Youth leader for the year of 2003 - 2004. And the result is as follow:
    AY Leader: Mr. Sumerangkir
    AY Associate: Assdhy Lolowang
    Secretary: Pamela Welan
    Treasurer: Mr. Franky Mantiri
    Treasurer Associate: Thrisye Lolowang

       We have organized plans for our AY Pathfinders - Adventurers for our church in 2003-2004 era, and I cannot mention the plans in public jus as yet. However, the staff for the Adventist Youth will be announce the upcoming event(s) before-hand, atleast a month or two months early. We will assure you that you will have the time to prepare for the event(s) that are planned.

       From the AY staff meeting, there are many activities that we will be douing that would be in need of economy support. We do know that our supporters are supporters to keep the youth going, not for paying our expenses. Therefore, the AY will need to come up with ways to be able to gain enough money to pay for the expenses.

       I'm sorry to say that the song book is still on hold. Yes. It is my fault, and I will take 110 percent blame for it, and I will try my best to finish typing those songs for us. I will inform you when the song books will be available.

       Our AY Home Care mission for this year is going to be on the 15th of November right after our Church potluck. The participants need to be at the location at 2:45PM and we will began our program at 3:00PM. The location is at the Assistant Living at Lowry.

       Our AY Pathfinder will meet sometime after the potluck. I still don't know for sure when is a suitable time for us to have the AY Pathfinder meet. I will let you know when I am informed about that information.
