St Mary Cathedral with one of the fountains in Hyde Park in the foreground.

Queen Victoria Building and George Street. Queen Victoria Building houses a lot of specialty shops and clothes boutiques. It is a very popular shopping destination for both locals and tourists. This view was taken standing in front of Woolworths looking down George Street towards Circular Quay.

The Sydney Town Hall is located on the same side of George Street as the Queen Victoria Building.

The Circular Quay area. I can't remember what building this is and since I don't have a Gregory's Sydney map directory handy, I can only tell you that this is right next to the AMP building where my brother works. Hmmm...I wonder how much this would help the non-Sydneysiders. The picture above was taken on a different day when compared to the earlier three pictures when it was obviously a little more cloudy.
Okay, I think you have probably seen enough of downtown Sydney and old sandstone builidings. If you would like to see some pictures of suburban Sydney, please click on the link, "Suburban Sydney".
