| Sunday, May 18. Costumes: Setsuna Mudou (Angel Sanctuary artbook) Woke up earlier than necessary to discover that Anna, who was supposed to shower first and then wake me up, wasn't in the room. Ah well. Eventually got out of bed to get ready. Shower wouldn't warm up at all. Was so tired it didn't matter. Tried to wake up Winnie, but failed completely. =P Eventually went down to the jrock room to get stuff and change into the rest of my costume + pack up everything I'd left there. Wasn't feeling well, so didn't end up wearing Embla at all. It was a fairly short day due to the late start, anyway, so just stayed in Setsuna the whole time. Sat for most of the Sunday con with Brian in the dealer room, partly out of guilt about the whole not visiting issue, but also because I needed to sit down after walking around that much in those damn heels. I make a funny blonde. If I'd had my whip, I would've been completely in character...Setsuna rocks. ^^ I do need a brown wig, however, and then need to paint some black streaks into it to go with the artbook picture. The blonde was too light. Ah well, something to improve upon next time. Setsuna was and still is very much a costume in progress because some parts were a little rushed. I do really like the grey top I made and wear it out sometimes just for fun. It was nice just sitting and chilling a bit although I felt useless what with not being able to help out. It would be fun to sell stuff, I guess...lol...I hate dealing with people. *yawn* Wow, I'm still tired out from the convention. In any case, a few people took pictures of me, though not many. I really wish that I'd had a crop or whip with me and that I'd managed to get that hat on time. I got to hang out with Dave's Oathkeeper keyblade for a while and that made me quite happy. ^_^ It was cool enough that I didn't care that I only had half a brownie to eat the whole day. What's with me and eating half of stuff? Weird. I bought some art in Artist's Alley for the first time, but I should've bought more stuff. I didn't realise that you liked those cute little laminated things, Brian...I would've bought you one. T_T If I'd known about the FFVII strip poke fanart, I would've bought a print...I saw a scan of it in someone's convention pictures and wow...*_* Poor Cloud...but I love the look on Vincent's face. ^^ Also got some cute little sheep magnets from the table across from EK's. Didn't take many pictures because all I wanted to do was sit and chill, pretty much. I did end up giving David my camera...which was silly because I shoudl've gone with him. Didn't bother going to do anything except hang out in the jrock room for a while. Jen&Co. got me some stuff for my bday...hee hee...translucent Agent Smith from The Matrix. ^o^ Also, Xianghua from the first Soul Cailbur game. Maybe I should make that costume sometime so I can match? Missed a lot of picture taking...but what else is new? *sigh* I've still never been down to the pool...=\ *disappointed* Darn it, why did I give the camera to Dave? Bleh. I didn't get to say goodbye to very many people...I don't like that lack of closure, but it can't be helped at conventions. =\ Left around when the dealer room closed. The drive home was awesome. Aside from when I saw the CCD outfits for the first time, I think that was when I was happiest during the entire convention. Thanks...for everything. For letting me forget for a few minutes everything that happened or didn't happen. |
