ALERT**A few days ago, my brother and I went to a rocket day for his cub scouts. Rocket day is when you launch model rockets. While I was there, I saw something that was really bad. A boy had brought a model rocket with a compartment in it. He then put a cricket in it and launched the rocket with the bug still inside. In fact, he had done that before. Last time, he put in three bugs at once. Later I heard him and some other boys laughing and joking with an adult about the fact that the bugs died! We later found out that the brand selling the rockets is Estes. The website says that they are intended for putting bugs in. Estes should not be selling toys like this. Toys like these rockets are teaching children to kill for fun. Killing for fun is wrong. Even animals don�t do that! They kill for food or self-defense. Click on the picture of the rocket to see the webpage. Please send a letter to Estes or call them to tell them to stop making toys like this.
