Nature poems
Poems about nature
NATURE
Flowers growing all around, Coming straight out of the ground, Pretty plants big will grow, Then to die with the snow. The trees are so big and tall, Their leaves will go in the fall. The stars sparkle in the night. They are a pretty sight. I love nature, yes I do, and I wonder, yes, do you?
SPRINGTIME
Fairies fly up in the sky, flowers grow, and the breeze goes by. Today is a lovely day, because springtime is here.
The sun shines from the sky, plants grow, and our time goes by. Today is a lovely day, because springtime is here.
The moon comes into the sky, dark grows, and the day's gone by. Today was a lovely day, because springtime was here. Because springtime was here.
DESIRING*
- I have desired to go
- Up from the meadows rich with corn
- To the stars in the twinkling foam
- When lovely woman stoops to folly
- And three trees on the low sky
- Gerard Hopkins
- John Whittier
- Eugene Field
- Oliver Goldsmith
- Thomas Eliot
*This is a Cento poem that I did in poetry class. Cento poems are put together with lines from other poets.
