I slept in my cage tonight as I usually do. Luckily, Lila let me out early. It's miserable in those things! Theyre cramped and too small AND they smell bad, beacause theres no bathrooms in them.
After I came out, I found a nice spot in the sun (The best place is Lilas window) and took a nap. When I woke up I realized I was hungry. They always feed me late! Every single day I have to remind them.
I went out and rubbed and licked and purred at Mommy and Daddy. It did not work. All they did was rub me. I don't understand why they never know what I want.
Then they just threw me in the bathroom! That was not what I wanted. I was just starting to think they'd forgotten I was there, and was Meowing to remind them, when finally, they brought the food.
And the food isn't as good as it used to be. It tastes funny but I eat it, because at least it's food.
After I ate, I lay down in the sun. But not for long! Firth came over and bit me on the ear. Of course I did it back and hissed, because I wasn't bothering him at all. He then attacked me and chased me away because I didn't feel like fighting.
I went over to Spot, our leader cat. He was very nice and licked me, but even that didn't last very long. Firth came over again and attacked Spot. He jumped on him and bit him.
Suddenly Lila came in. "Stop it Firth," she said, chasing him off of Spot. Then she picked me up. "You are so sweet, little rumpleteazer!"she said. I don't like being held. I like to run around and I get tired sitting still, so I squirmed out of her arms.
Then she went over to see Firth. "You are such a naughty little cutie!" she said, and played with him. This made me mad. She's starting to like Firth more than me. I was happy when Peter came in asking, "Where's Firth?" and took him away.
Lila then put all the rest of us in Mommy's room and shut the door. I went to sleep at the top of Mommy's closet. That is one of my favorite spots. Firth cant get to me, and I watch for bugs and see far away.
I had slept for a while up there when I heard someone gathering up bowls.
I raced down and waited on top of the box right next to the door. The door was opened. I ran out before that Firth so he couldn't steal my food. But even then he was fed first! I think they like Firth-of-Forth more than they like me.
After eating, we were let out. I looked for food on the counter but was chased away. I cleaned myself on the foot of Lilas bed.
I found some bread sitting out in the kitchen. Nobody was looking, so I took it. I snuck down the hallway, being careful so Treble, the dog, wouldnt bark, and ate it.
Then I went to sleep. Later, Daddy came and put me in my cage. Now Im going to sleep.
