9. MATERIAL
DAMPING MEASUREMENT (ASTM E756)
The material
damping measurement setup essentially is made in the lines of the ASTM
E 756 standard. The equipment used in this measurement setup has all been
procured under various projects. Damping of different materials can be
measured by this setup. This experiment is conducted for the undergraduate
students of the Mechanical Engineering Department and the Metallurgical
& Materials Engineering Department
