InMe's Dave McPherson has been telling TG about his band's plans for their forthcoming second album.
Speaking at this summer's Reading festival, he told us: "We've got about seven or eight ideas knocking around. We're just throwing things together, messing around. It's really great to be writing stuff again. I think we've all grown together. We've changed our sound, but in a natural way."
He continued: "There's still some rocking stuff, but we've taken it into new territory. It'll be very different. We've got a little 24-track thing, demoing stuff. There's been lots of late nights, messing around, getting good at mixing and stuff. It's exciting. We've never really recorded stuff ourselves before."
"Am I a better guitarist now? I think I've learnt that less is more. I've been focusing more on the melody. I think I've got better hopefully. I've got more of my own sound now. I've got this noise suppressor, which is great for getting the muted stuff a bit tighter. I just know my way around a bit more now. I can go to places I maybe couldn't go before." |
